This is a relatively simple dual probe thermometer, but it functions well and has incredible battery life. We’ve owned one for over a year and recently purchased another as a gift. For the one we’ve been using, I don’t think we’ve ever needed to charge it. Not that it would be difficult, since it recharges via USB-A. The two probes are handy, with one on a fixed swivel, and the other one on a wire. We find the wired probe particularly useful for cooking long duration items in the oven, permitting cooking to a temperature instead of a time. The device is magnetic, and a temperature alarm can be set with the wired probe. The response time is good. Accuracy seems good as well. No problems cleaning, and the wire for the external probe is very durable, braided steel. It’s a nice small size that we’ve actually taken with us on trips where we expect to cook. Quality thermometer! Love its multiple functions and leave in and hand held thermometer. I always look for the best quality products at the best prices. I never buy the most expensive of anything. I’m a chef, I go through many knives and I’ll never pay close to $100 a knife, same with my thermometers at home and work. This thermometer I got for home, it’s too big for a chef cost “pen pocket” definitely perfect for home use. Magnet holds well on direct metal surfaces like BBQ or Oven door, not so well on a refrigerator but it does stay depending on your fridge. Read more

I've had this for almost a year and it's holding up decently except tonite the additional probe broke. I went to pull it out of a pork roast and the end cap just pulled the jacket right off even though I had a firm grasp on the bent part and not the wire itself. Not very well made if it can't hold up for a year. The rest of the thermometer works fine for the most part. I do think it reads low on occasion as there are times meat comes out a little too cooked based on the temp it's reading and other times the meat comes out perfectly. It does its job though 90% of the time so, for the price it's worth it. As others have stated the magnet is not very strong and does tend to slide. Recommendation to the manufacturer: make the probe connection more similar to the one on the other TP models (they look a bit more robust) and make the magnets stronger. Read more

This is the best food thermometer I have ever had. It is accurate. The stainless steel body makes it easy to read and easy to clean. It has a good, clean look and handles well. The external probe also works very well. The instructions can be improved a little, but you can figure it out in time. I am not sure why they don't make them all look and work like this. The only reservations I have is that the magnet is not very strong and I have only had it for about 7 months, so I can't speak about its longevity. Read more

I am so glad I purchased this ThermoPro thermometer model number TP610. It is accurate. Constructed with good quality parts/materials. It is easy to learn & use & it has nice features as you see on this item's product page. The LCD has been performing great & the automatic rotation is very helpful. This holds a charge for a long time. I love the automatic power on when you use the attached swivel probe. It is easy to clean & the SET feature is great for setting a specific temperature. You can even change from °C/°F.
