My 8 year old wanted a smart watch for Christmas. We wanted something that was easy to manage, set up, and could be monitored carefully by us. This works great! She can send messages to her older sisters and grandparents. She can listen to music, take pics, and more. It’s important to put it on the charger daily. I charged it Dec 23 to have it ready for Christmas morning. When she opened it, it had a charge, but needed to charge it again for an hour. The tracking appears to be accurate. We’re visiting family out of state and it keeps it updated. I think for the value and quality of this product, it’s worth it. I’ll update once she gets more use out of it. Read more

As a parent, this watch helps us monitor our 8-year-old son whenever he’s out in the neighborhood playing with friends or when we go to places like the park or grocery store. It gives us peace of mind knowing his possible location and that we can contact him directly through the watch. The watch is very user-friendly, and the app is easy to navigate. I especially like the parental control feature, which is extremely helpful during school hours. Awesome watch. The picture quality is great for a watch camera and the GPS is accurate and real time. Sound quality is excellent too. I love that my son can receive SMS texts and regular phone calls without making everyone download the app. App is only needed for video calls. The ability to let him have control over contacting approved family and friends and not worry unapproved people can contact him is stress releiving. I only really have 2 complaints. First, the band was too small for my 7yo w larger wrists. It was tight on the last hole. I did replace with aftermarket bands and he loves it now. Tech support has advised they are working on the band issue for the watches as they are taking the feedback seriously. Second, the iheart radio app is awesome BUT there's no way that I can find to turn the app off without restarting the watch, so it just runs in the background draining the battery quicker. If it weren't for those issues it would be 5 stars. I'm excited for the real time gps tracking and his ability to call if he gets lost so I have peace of mind when we are out and about. Read more

My 6yo got this watch for his birthday and hardly ever takes it off! He can face-time, text, take photos and has a timer for him to wake up in the morning. It is great when he is at after school care and I can call him when needed. The tracking works super well too, it seems pretty accurate any time we have needed it. This smartwatch exceeded my expectations. The voice calls are crystal clear. So far we tested from close by places where my kid would go play. This also has a camera and video calling, how cool is that. There are several other features on the watch and a ton of parental controls in the app. Adding contacts is easy with this watch like who all can call my kid and who my kid can call. One disappointment for my kid is that there are no activity based games or even casual games that he was looking forward to. I guess that is ok and avoids all kinds of distractions. Read more

We bought this watch for our daughter as her first “phone” and overall we are very happy with it. Setup was not hard and the parent app is easy to understand. I like that everything is controlled by parents and there is no internet or social media. The watch can make calls, send messages, share location, and also has camera and video call. For us main use is location tracking and quick calls like “come home” or “where are you”. It does the job well. Big plus for me is carrier flexibility. I am not locked into private monthly plans, as I am using a low cost MVNO SIM and pay around way less than subscriptions per month. If price goes up later I can switch carrier or even stop service anytime. This flexibility was big reason I chose TickTalk. Battery lasts around 2–3 days for us with normal use. Watch feels solid and kid friendly. There are some games and camera but no internet browser or apps, so not too distracting. One con is GPS location is not always very precise. Sometimes it shows nearby area or street, not exact spot. But it still gives a good general idea where the kid is, which is enough for our use. Overall very good balance of safety, control and cost.
