I had 7 items of clothing that, no matter how many times or how well I washed them, never smelled clean. My gym clothes and my husband's yard working clothes always smelled sour. I tried all different kinds of detergents. I tried washing them on sanitize functions, I even tried pouring boiling water over them in the sink. I got to the point where I was just going to throw them away. I decided to give this product a try as a last resort after I read a few good reviews online. I am so glad I did. I tossed the offensive items in the washer with 2 of the tide packs and a normal wash setting. The smell is very strong with these. Even from across the house I could smell the detergent while I washer was running. It isnt a bad smell though, just very strong. After they finished washing and drying I pulled them out of the dryer and for the first time in MONTHS they smelled clean. I will not use these pods for everything, our normal detergent works well for the rest of our clothes but it is so good to know that there is something that actually works for the tough items. Alright, I sweat a LOT, and I mean just pouring all over my face, and as a result my work clothes get very grungy very fast, not to mention my lawn mowing clothes, yard work, etc. Honestly, I don't smell that bad, but when it turns from a little bit of sweat to the downpour that is me it becomes quite noticeable. As I've gotten older the instances of sweat covered clothes have become a frequent issue, but really it comes down to my work uniform- getting sweaty in the same two tops over and over made them smell terrible using my normal laundry detergent, they were clean but never stopped smelling. So I hunted, and I used twice the amount of detergent, found the most scented ones, etc. and none of them seemed to really help until a friend told me they have the same issue and use Tide Sport! YES! It does work, it's the only detergent that makes them smell clean and fresh for my work clothes! I treat this stuff like gold, and honestly reserve it just for my uniform and some workout clothes, still using cheaper detergent for everything else. I work In a metal shop that has continuous welding, grinding and fabricating going on throughout the day. On top of that, there are machines that use oil and coolant to run in aiding with fabrication. These pods take the grease from machine repairs, the Smokey stain and smell from welding galvanized steel and all the leftover remaining dust and stench out of a hard days work clothes while having such a fresh and prominent smell to keep me smelling good all day. I like Tide products for their unmatched ability to clean clothes. I tend to become sensitized to different products' fragrance over time, and like to change things up. Makes doing laundry a bit less of a chore. And this Tide really smells nice, but not strong. We don't have any odors lingering, just like the product claims. The one thing I don't love about the convenience of PODS, is that I have to put an entire second POD in the machine for extra dirty clothes, rather than a little bit more liquid or powder for an especially dirty load. But you can't go wrong for the storage convenience. Takes up so much less space than equivalent washing machine loads' powder or liquid detergent. Great product! Read more

We have high quality towels and kitchen washcloths that still look great, but after they were used once, a must smell would emerge! Even detergent advertised for sweaty exercise gear didn’t help. These Tide pods actually work. My washcloths do NOT smell musty the morning after I have used them!! Highly recommend - with the caveat that if you’re sensitive to fragrances, beware. It definitely has a distinctive (smell for lack of a better word). I don’t enjoy scented candles, perfume, etc - but it doesn’t bother me.
