Affordable option for a silty well
We have a well that gets silty occasionally. We were experiencing silty water this past weekend so we put one of these 5 micron filters in our Big Blue system and it cleared things right up until we can flush out the well. This is much cheaper than the hardware store or buying from the name brand manufacturer—like 40% cheaper and it’s doing the job well. It doesn’t seem to impede flow badly at all. We’ll move back to a 20 micron filter when things clear up! Read more

Good filter, needs plastic catering end caps
Works but wish these have plasic centering caps. Hard to keep centered when installing in my old big blue filter housing. The filter can fall sideways and housing head centering fingers just penatrate the filter ind center hole doesn't line up then allowing debris to pass by. Plaaic caps on the ends would prevent this from happening I think. Read more
