The Tiger rice cooker is the first rice cooker that actually cooks rice instead of burning it. I got on a kick cooking my own Chinese food as my local place has been closed due to a death in the family. Follow the directions to the letter and you'll get perfectly cooked rice, in less time, (other than soaking the rice before cooking). So far I've made sweet sticky rice, brown wild grain rice and rice to be used for both shrimp and chicken fried rice. A healthy alternative to carry out and costs 50% less than take out extra rice. I have owned approximately five Tiger rice cookers and have never had a problem until I ordered another February 2025. I had nothing but problems. Rice not cooking thoroughly and rice dried within hours of cooking, on warm mode. I reached out to Tiger Coorperation and they wanted me to send to Florida to get it serviced as there were no place in Georgia to do so. Now I have to pay for shipping, and wait for its return. They will not give me a refund nor send me a replacement. For the price of this rice cooker, youu would think it is top notch. I am very unhappy and will not purchase again. Read more
