First off, I'm an old guy but pretty conversant with technology. I've had several smart watches and plain old digital watches, but every one of them had some sort of quirk or flaw with the programming, mainly because they were poorly made Chinese watches. I got tired of digital and realized that all I need to know is what time it is. I found this watch and liked the look and its old school programming, ie, turn the crown to set the time. Now that I have the watch I like it even better - its simple face is elegant and not cluttered, easy to read and just looks good. If you want to know what time it is with a dependable watch from a name brand manufacturer, and look good at a good price, I'd recommend this one. Also, my wrists are fairly thick and expansion bands seem to be made for stick figures, so this adjustable leather band suits me just fine. Good price, good value, good look. Read more
Simple face, large hands and numbers. If you are looking for a watch that is elegant and simple to read, this is your watch. It is what Timex built their reputation on. Read more
Timex is renowned for their durability and rugged performance and this watch doesn't fail those assumptions! It has a classic minimalist look that makes it extremely easy to read the time at just a glance to the wrist. There's no day/date that needs to be reset almost every month, not a bunch of extra dials to distract you (especially if you might need glasses just to read them anyways). Extra features most people now days have a better and easier option in their pocket to perform those tasks with their smart phone. The Arabic numbers are clean, classic and very easy to read. (I know I repeated that, but it's true!) I had Timex watches over 20 years ago, and I've missed the easy "Indiglo" night illumination, and the white face easily displays the time in total darkness when the knob on the side of the watch is pushed. All the praise being said, the one drawback I have with Timex is all their watches come with watch bands to fit normal size wrists. That makes sense, but they don't offer an option to order a watch with a larger band for customers who have larger size hands and wrists. My wrist measures 9" around and a normal watch band will only fit up to about an 8" wrist. Fortunately I found a very nice stainless steel watch band on Amazon from a manufacturer named BINLUN. I managed to install the new band on the watch and it fits perfectly. The only quibble might be the look of the watch and band is not quite as sleek and finished as the watch band that comes with it. The BINLUN band actually gives the watch a "retro" look, which doesn't really bother me one bit. But the reason I only give the watch 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to order a larger watch band from a different manufacturer. Timex doesn't even offer a larger wrist band in the Timex store. I don't have a bunch of different watches for different occasions, this is my primary everyday watch and my "formal dress" watch. So I want to to look nice, and it does! I've included two photos, one from a bit of an angle to show you how the third party band and watch don't look as stylized as the watch and band that comes with the watch appears. People might think this watch looks 30 or 40 years old, and I'm happy to fool them! Read more

Big dial. Distinct hands and numbers. Lights up in the dark. Flex band. 50 meter water rated. I have nice watches but this one is my favorite. Read more

I usually love Timex watches as they used to deserve five star ratings. Amazon has not delivered the watch as described and pictured on their site. One star is all this watch rates as delivered. Much of the blame is with Amazon. The watch received is NOT as described or pictured. The band is far too small to comfortably fit an eight inch wrist as described. It leaves indentations and cannot be worn for any length of time. Most uncomfortable band I've ever owned. It needs another two or three links in the expansion band. The picture on Amazon shows 33 (THIRTY THREE) links in the expansion band but the watch that was delivered has only 30 (THIRTY). Those three missing links would most likely have made this watch a good fit. I assume that Amazon recycled a RETURNED watch that may have had the links removed. I would have returned the watch myself but the original box seems to have been thrown out with the holiday gift wrap at Christmas so I cannot now return the watch. Amazon has refused to replace the watch with one having the correct band. Amazon blames Timex and Timex says "Take it up with Amazon." Timex will "repair" my brand new watch if I fill out repair request forms, send them the watch, pay a repair and return postage fee, wait six to ten weeks and hope that they send it back properly sized. Thanks for nothing, Timex. The watch face is large and clear but the sweep second hand has a large and thick back end that it can be mistaken for the hour hand if you just glance at the time and don't stare long enough to see it move. I have owned several Indiglo watches and this particular watch has the dimmest light I have ever owned, but it is still usually adequate to read the time in the dark. Timex gets failing grades on its customer service response. They seem interested in only delaying and stalling when it comes to repairing their product. The watch that used to "keep on ticking" now keeps on disappointing. Read more
