I bought these for my four-year-old daughter to wear under her dresses and skirts. She's at that age where she still isn't entirely modest, so she doesn't always sit properly and when she's playing, her underwear show. I bought these to keep her covered. She still wears a size 3T pants so I ordered these in size small. They are a tad bit big on her. They are loose in her waist and legs and they are long on her legs as well. The bottom of the shorts hits at her past the top of her knee so she can only wear them under dresses that come down mid-knee. That's a pain because a lot of her dresses hit her right above her knee and these stick out a little bit. There really needs to be a better sizing guide on these shorts because they don't tell you what size to buy and it doesn't even list whether these are for little or big girls. By the way, they are for little girls. You will be getting six random colors when you order, so beware that you might not get the colors you hoped for. I received black, blue, light pink, dark pink, purple, and red. I really wanted a black and white pair the most, so I was a bit disappointed when I didn't receive a white pair. The shorts are the material of really thick tights, but they're durable so they haven't received any snags, tears, or holes. They're very stretchy, soft, and comfortable. They're thick enough that I can't really see her underwear through them. Even if I could, they at least would still hide it better than no shorts would. I have washed them in the washer on the delicate cycle and hung them to dry and they come out perfectly. I wish I could have chosen the colors and I wish these fit my daughter better, but they are still quality-made and a great solution to our problem. They are big on her right now, but she will grow into them better and they will grow with her because they're so stretchy. This pack of short tights/cartwheel shorts exceeded my expectations, particularly after reading the reviews prior to ordering. I ordered a Medium for my daughter (8 yo, 85 lbs, wears a size 14 typically), figuring I could return them if they were too small. They were not. She has plenty of room and doesn't look like she's being squeezed. The facts: - These are not meant to be "shorts" worn as is, alone, or at least not in my opinion. The product info also does not suggest that's what these are for. The material is thin, and while it will not show skin, it will show panty lines, etc. As the mom of a little girl, I would not allow her to wear these alone as shorts out of the home. - These are meant to be worn under dresses/skirts, or even perhaps longer tunic-style tops. These are perfect for that. -The quality of the shorts is good, and the fabric is nice and soft. -The color selection is great. My daughter's school allows girls to wear pretty much any color/print of cartwheel shorts or leggings, so it's a nice way to inject some color. - For the quantity, the price is right. These will definitely serve their purpose of covering my girl's tush & panties under skirts & dresses. They are nylon type material and seem a little cheap but will be great for playground play. I have a fairly average sized 4yo and the small are still a bit big on her (seem to stretch & slide down after only a short time)... but I think they should stretch & fit/grow with her for at least a couple years. The perfect shorts are exactly what we needed. I bought this 6 pack of bike shorts for my daughter. She normally wears a 5.. but can fit in 4-6. According to the size chart she would fit into a large, which is exactly what we got.. and the fit is perfect! These shorts are very stretchy and soft... they are easy for the little ones to pull up on their own and they don't seem to shrink in the wash. They are also made of that fabric (I forget what it's called) that is easy to get stains out of if needed. Mom and daughter both happy with purchase! I would definitely recommend these... especially at the price. They are used so much more than I originally thought they would be too. Sizes were different within the package. All the tags said medium but one is labeled small on the inside. They don't seem to be in line with the sizes listed online and they did not shrink so I guess we'll be waiting until she grows into them! Read more

We got these for my daughter to wear under her dresses as that's her current preferred play clothes and I was tired of everyone getting to see her underwear. These are technically a little large on her, but the size is 4-7, and she's a 4 so it makes sense. And given what I've seen so far, these are going to last quite awhile! They feel like a really thick tights material, and are not see-through unless stretched. They feel super-comfy, and I kind of wish they had them for women. They have washed really well (always air-dry!), and stood up well considering my child is the one who never stops moving and loves being outside. The ingrained dirt-stains on the bum I've just learned to accept, as we were blessed with red clay in our area and it does that to everything. This is exactly what I was looking for at a price I can get behind and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone else looking for a way to keep their kids in dresses from flashing the world!
