My entire life, I only used standard clippers and didn't know a better world existed. These make a ton of difference. I even use them for my rabbits now too! They are so sharp, and make it easy to cut. A very nice experience. Read more

While not yet a senior, I still appreciate this set of clippers and extra tools. The clippers were both super sharp from the box. Time will tell how long they stay that way. One nice thing is each set of clippers comes with a reusable protective cover to shield the clipper blades from coming in contact with all the other stuff in your grooming tools storage drawer. First usage was interesting as I was migrating from a traditional crescent clipper to these angled clippers. For sure it was much easier to work the clipper under the nail corner to get my cut started and continue taking small clips around the width of the nail. The same pointy edge of the clipper that starts your cut also allows you to finish the cut cleanly on the opposite side of the nail. I tried both the silver and black clippers. The silver clipper worked very well on my big toe. The black clipping was a better fit for the smaller nails on all other toes. I was hopeful the black clippers would also be suitable to finger nails, but for me they were too large. They may work for others with larger fingernails. The extra tools for under-nail cleaning, cuticle maintenance, and ingrown toenail lifter are handy and robust tools, but only the under-nail cleaner was needed and used. I added one last photo with some other finger and toe nail clippers I had available to show a size comparison. And just now I realized that the sliver clippers may be awkward for left-handed people. Due to the nature of the angled blade, it appears they must be used moving from right to left as you view the nail. As a right-hander I imagine that might be awkward for left handed person, but maybe not. Read more

Hard to find a good clipper to cut hard toe nails. These are them. But be careful because they are sharp. My husband liked and bought his own. Read more

Amazon wouldn't permit less than three stars otherwise I would give it two. The weird, angled design of these clippers is annoying at best. You can't really see what you are doing, the first time I clipped my toenails I somehow (cause I couldn't see) clipped a little hole in the end of my toe that bled like crazy. Into the trash they go, give me some regular, normal clippers any day. On the positive side they are nicely packaged and sharp but you have to keep the box and the rubber clipper covers on them or they won't go back into the box. Read more
