This slanted toenail clipper works well and makes trimming easier, especially on my thicker nails. It’s very sharp, so you do need to be careful when using it. It feels solid and well made, and I’m hoping it stays sharp and lasts a long time. I recommend it. Read more

The clippers came in a nice metal box you can use for storage or a gift box. The clippers are well made out of stainless steel and have a good feel to them. They also come with a very fine nail file good to finish up those rough burrs after cutting your nails. The clippers are angled and you can get the perfect cut on each side of the big toenail which is why I got these because I have had a ingrown toenail over the years on both of my big toes. Most likely because I did not keep the cut round enough. If you already have an ingrown toenail starting I don't believe they would help much as they aren't easy to get down under the skin between the toenail. I found that if I cut the nails with a regular pair of clippers these put a nice round even edge on each side of the nail. I hope that going forward I can just use these to keep those edges round. They cut well but do take some practice to use and I got better on each nail. I found they weren't real effective on the smaller toes they are too big to really get in there to cut them well so I knocked off one star for that. Read more
My husband's toenails are an absolute nightmare. They're thick, tough, and curved appallingly. I don't know how he stands it, but they've been that way as long as I've known him. He cannot cut his own nails easily, so that falls to me. These nail clippers have been so very helpful. First of all, they are very sharp. I double check before actually clipping, because it would really hurt if I accidentally got some skin in there. They cut much more cleanly and easily than regular fingernail or toenail clippers. The curve takes a little getting used to, but it does actually seem to help. A little rubbing across the top of the nail with the glass nail file, and he's good to go! It all fits neatly into the metal tin it comes in, which makes it easier to find. I am quite happy with these nail clippers. Read more

These Fumax angled nail clippers are heavy duty and nicely packaged in a metal tin with a bonus nail file. They are well-balanced and easy to operate with minimal hand strength required. The clippers are quite sharp and have a uniquely angled head. I initially thought the shape was something of a gimmick but it is actually quite useful. These do not replace typical nail clippers for me but are the most effective at dealing with thick, deformed nails – particularly toenails. The shape allows you to see where you are cutting and the clippers operate smoothly regardless of which side you have flipped up so you can angle toward the left or right. These are much more comfortable to hold and manipulate than angled clippers that have a body shaped more like pliers and I find them easier to grasp securely and control. I appreciate that the clippers have a silicone cap that fits over the head since the angle does come to a pretty sharp point. If you need specialty clippers to deal with deformed nails, these are worth considering. Read more

The Fumax Toenail Clippers for Thick Toenails are very sharp heavy duty nail clippers. They are sharp and open to almost an inch that you can even cutoff your toes or fingers - so a safety warning that you keep this away from little kids. The clippers and filer came in a small Altoids sized metal tin box which was packaged in a cardboard box with the brand name. The tin has not writing on them. The clippers don't fit straight and need to be placed diagonally to fit - very compact box! The file was actually a plastic file and not metal, which I am usually used to. It does have the rough surface to file and it worked well but not sure how long it will last. They call it a nano glass. Overall a good set which can be given as a gift. If you are caring for an older person, a better gift would be to do the nails for them. Read more
