This is great stuff. I first tried non foaming shaving gel on a trip to Japan and found it much more comfortable and easier to use than the regular foaming creams. I got the tomb 45 when I returned home and am very pleased with it. You use just a little. It forms a very slick thin surface on the skin which makes for a very easy, close shave. I used this product with a Gillette Fusion 5, and previously used Gillette Clear Shave Gel. I was pretty unhappy after my first three shaves with this gel, and I was ready to leave a poor review. I'm used to a very slippery gel, and this just didn't feel slippery. Even though it was working, it didn't feel like it persisted on my face for very long, and it reminded me of shaving with actual aloe gel. You know that feeling after you lather on aloe, and it's all wet and slimy, but then dries rapidly into a slightly sticky goop before disappearing? This gel went on so thin that I couldn't get that thought out of my mind, and it made me worry that the gel wasn't working. But after that fourth shave, I noticed that I hadn't had any nicks or cuts, and my face felt really smooth. REALLY smooth. Even my wife noticed. On subsequent shaves, I trusted the gel, and didn't worry that the gel was drying (it wasn't). I used a little more gel than I had previously, and it felt fantastic. I'm two weeks in, still no scratches or cuts, and nothing but close shaves. This gel doesn't have the same degree of slick glide that I'm used to (Gillette Clear Shave Gel), but it's perfect for getting a close shave. PROS: Clear gel, easy to see what you're shaving. It's an okay product but doesn't knock my socks off and I probably won't buy it again. The things I don't like about it might be what others like. It's not in the least bit sticky, which means you apply it to your face and it basically falls right off. If you thin it out enough you get a little bit to stick but why does it have to be that difficult? Fresh scent? Smells like a barbershop, and that's fine, but it's pretty subtle and goes away instantly after you rinse. Read more
