The paper in these pads is thick and perfect for writing with a good quality pen that might normally bleed through. And the cardboard is heavy enough to take it and write in your lap without the pad folding in on itself. Read more
I discovered the hard way that those great, high quality writing pads that I've used for years are now being made by a company that calls itself Tops, and their pads are absolutely inferior: a flimsy back, very thin paper, etc. THESE ARE THE REAL DEAL. Make sure you buy the ones that say Docket Gold. For people who are paper and pen nerds, which I clearly am, the difference is dramatic. It's back to pleasurable list-makng and note-writing. I am something of a notebook junkie so I buy ALOT of notebooks and legal pads, always in search of newer and better finds. These pads were great for the cost. The back is sturdy enough that you do not need a book or a table underneath to write on it and the pages tear off cleanly. The paper is thick enough that I can write on both sides with my 1.0 gel pens and never have any bleed through. I would like it if they had more pages as they were a bit thin for my taste but I am pretty picky. Read more
I have been using Tops pads for a long time. This is a great product. The one and only problem is the cost. The pads are strong with great paper quality. I no longer buy them in yellow since the white is a less expensive choice with no difference in quality, just a different color. Yellow dye must be really expensive. Actually I think the yellow is in higher demand especially in law firms therefore the higher cost. I have notes taken at meetings from over ten years ago on this paper and they still look as if I wrote them yesterday. If you want high quality and a strong pad this is the choice. Read more
The thickness of the paper is better than what you would get at a big box store. Read more
These note pads are just okay. The backing on these note pads are not as strong as I like. So I learned all note pads are not the same. Like the "True Red " pads much better because of the stronger backing. Texas Gal Read more
These are absolutely worthless to me, as it is impossible to tear sheets off cleanly. Too late for me to return (I was assuming it was just the one pad, not all of them) so into the recycling bin they go. Bummer. If you don’t want the top of EVERY sheet to be a jagged mess, look for another brand. This used to be a good brand. No more. Read more
