great for the money, came in prompt... yellow and white hurts my eyes so the gray/blue/lilac is much better. paper is smooth and doesn't bleed. if your a paper conisour you will probably (no offense) find something you don't like. this is simply said "just a paper tablet in calming colors" its not perfection, its just simple paper in calming colors for those of us who cant stand yellow and white glaring at us in the face. so if you just want something to write on for work or every day life this is perfect. I really couldn't be happy :) now if you want perfection, if you desire the lines to be perfectly measured etc etc etc you might be unhappy....but if your just a down to earth person wanting some pretty tablets to write on this rocks! i use it for work (i work at home) and i use it for everyday life (itiniaries/chores/shop lists/letters etc) my kids use it for jotting down homework at school/letters/notes/their to do lists etc. i find yellow/white tablets give me a headache. if you want the best pens in the world to go with this paper (im a pen stickler) pilot G-2 07 amazon might have a multipack/ i get mine from costco in a multi pack. i like those pens cause smooth and they write amazing on this paper. enjoy ;) Read more
These are 100% recycled pads, so why anyone thought they would be blindingly bright, I'm not sure. They are easily the best quality recycled legal pads I've ever had and I personally think the colors are quite lovely. Saw a few complaints about the gray, but it's easily my favorite. Looks perfectly professional. I will be a repeat buyer for sure. Never again will I buy another ugly standard yellow pad. The quality of the paper itself is above standard and as a lefty, I find that it has minimal smearing so the ink dries on it quickly. Please keep in mind that the colors on your monitor are not generally actual depictions of the color of products in real life. Either way, these are beautiful. Read more
Very pleased about quality and color of product. I can’t say I was very confident that I would like the pads when they arrived. I read about how the paper was thin and colors were not bright. The pkg has 2 pads of each color: gray, blue, and purple. The colors are each different and look like the color they’re identified with. The weight of paper is nice. It is certainly not thin. I am very happy with my purchase and very pleased with price! I use this paper to take notes for class lecture. It works great. Read more
I had read other reviews and paid attention to those who said the colors seemed either "washed out" or too light in color. I did not experience that at all. The blue is a beautiful blue and any color ink would show up on it. The light purple is also a nice color. The gray is light in color, but you can still tell it is gray. All the colors are a nice choice to look at instead of the canary yellow of the legal pads. The paper does not feel flimsy. I am very, very happy with this purchase and would purchase again. How nice to use a product that is 100% recycled and also pleasing to the eye! Someone at TOPS invested time and money in color research to come up with these attractive shades of pastel, rich tints that are nevertheless light enough to contrast with most colors of ink. In my experience, the colors do not fade. The gray may look like it has faded from blue, but that is the color it was meant to be––the least attractive of the three but still pleasant to use. As noted by others, the paper is fairly thin. Ink from the roller ball pens I use does show through on the other side. And the paper colors are dark enough that pencil does not contrast well. It is a trade-off whether you want heavier white lined paper so you can use pencil and write on both sides, or you find the colors so attractive in Prism Plus, you are willing to be somewhat restricted. For certain types of writing, it is easier not to be flipping from front to back, and that’s why I am comfortable with these 8.5 by 11 inch pads and have been using them for years. If you value products that add a little whimsey or aesthetic appeal to brighten up your world and help preserve resources at the same time, you may want to try a package and judge for yourself. I wanted a more colorful notepad to coordinate with my newly purchased purple legal portfolio. Local store prices were crazy high. These are nice pastel colors at a reasonable price.
