Please note: I did not rate the suction power or adhesion as I did not use those for this product, though they were available and came with the package. I used the clasp that came with this and it attaches perfectly to the air vents in my car(s)...without blocking the vents. I know it isn't a really good idea to get emotional over inanimate objects, but I simply LOVE this cell phone holder. It works on pretty much ANY size phone including my iPhone Max. You can easily pop your phone into it, squeeze the padded holders together onto the sides of the phone and it holds the cell quickly and securely. It pivots and adjusts easily in all directions for ease of viewing the screen. And when you need to release the phone, it can be done quickly and easily with the push of a button. My daughter loved (again...emotional😍) this holder so much she stole it out of my car and put it into her car...the nerve!!😒 But that's OK, I let her keep it (Happy Birthday!)...and I bought myself another one. THEN...my sister came over to show off her new car and I saw this silly magnetic holder for her cell phone she had on the vent. It completely covered the air vent making it useless! So I mentioned my cool TORRAS cell phone holder and how it did NOT cover the vent completely, and the snazzy quick-release button. After demonstrating this TORRAS holder to her in my car and giving a demo of how it works, she bought 1 for her new car and 1 for her husband's car. So effectively I am racking up some sales for the folks at TORRAS by creating the purchase of 4 of these cell phone holders! I purchased this car phone holder to attach my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra to my dashboard. After I received it, I messaged the customer service to make sure it would work well for my phone with PopSockets® on the back. Melody responded quickly with instructions on how best to use this mount with my phone. She also proactively followed up with me until she knew the mount was working well for me, which was very reassuring. I’ve never had more responsive and proactive customer service than what Melody provided. The Torras phone holder was exactly what I needed. It has been flawlessly holding my large & heavy phone with PopSockets® attached to the back of my Otterbox Symmetry clear case. It has stayed on the dashboard with the phone secure through many drives with no shaking or wobbling. I prefer this holder because the arm holds it close enough to me where I can read it and unlock it with facial recognition. I would not hesitate to buy this. Installation: I am using this in my Toyota Sienna minivan with a slightly textured dashboard. The cleaning of the dashboard was very important to getting the adhesive disc to be secure. If you have had your car for many years, a quick rubbing of the dash using a cloth with alcohol is not good enough. There could be layers of dust and dirt as I found. I had to do a few rounds of alcohol wipes until it was thoroughly clean. Then I stuck on the adhesive disc and left it for about 3 days until I installed the holder with the adhesive suction cup. I’m thinking the reviewers who did this did not work for probably did not clean their dashboard adequately or did not put it on a flat area or did not let the disc stay long enough before attaching the holder. Attaching phone: Press the button on the back to open up the arms and then press them in at the base of the arms (not the edge). With a large thick phone with a thin case and PopSockets® on, the phone sticks a little bit out of the holder arms, but the arms have a strong hold on the phone. If I wanted to, I could twist off my PopTops to set the phone in deeper into the mount, but that has not been necessary and my phone has not fallen out even once. Customer service: I am just so impressed with the customer service of Melody checking in on me and ready to offer alternatives if the holder did not work. She did not stop checking in until she knew I was fully satisfied with how the holder functioned. Highly recommend this company and this holder! Read more

In our state we cannot have anything but a turnpike transponder on the windshield or blocking the view of the windshield (the transponder is relegated to three locations, LOL). So attaching this to the dash or the windshield was out of the question. I have circular vents which we out but I had the perfect spot picked out using the disk except the phone would not fit there (it's a large dash in a smallish car (G6). Sigh. Plan B also failed because of the size of my phone (Samsung A52). Dash is textured and curve in more places that I realized. Found one spot that may work and I placed the disk. But then I found a section of the console that was smooth, attached the suction cup and it held!!! Played with the angle of the phone and it now sits right next to the gear shift just a little bit higher. Doesn't block the radio, he AC or heat vents, the controls, is lower than the dash (state requirement) and the phone is in a great position. Will leave the disk on the dash in case I have end up in that position, but I love where it is! Very sturdy product (except for the nut on the vent mount which is broken - but I won't be using it anyway). Lord knows I had it together and apart enough times in placing it, LOL! Worked good for about a year or 2. The temperatures got hotter during the summer and melted the adhesive and it got all over my dash. Be sure to get one that can handle high heat and low temperatures. It’s a sticky mess to clean up… Read more
