Just got the TORRAS Ostand Magnetic case for my iPhone 17 Pro and honestly it feels like they really nailed it this time. The design looks and feels more premium than any of their older models. The matte translucent finish gives it a super clean look while still letting the phone’s color show through. It feels soft but sturdy in the hand, and at only 42 grams it’s surprisingly light. You barely notice it’s on the phone, which is exactly what I want from a case. The buttons and camera controls feel so much better now. They have a nice crisp click and the alignment is spot on. This covers both iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max O Stand in Orange. I'll begin by saying I LOVE LOVE LOVE Torras quality. I already have the Torras OrigArmor Screen Protectors on hand to install when the new iPhones are delivered in 5 days. What better way to complete the total protection of our new iPhones than with a Torras O Stand case? I've used Torras cases for several years and year over year, they just make products which are well made, highly protective, attractive and get better with each subsequent year. The O Stand is Military Grade with tested drop protection to 12 feet. There are air pockets all around the inside of the case to cushion it should you drop the phone and each corner incorporates reinforced architecture for even more protection. Torras buttons are usually very clicky and feel great in use. I'm sure these will be too. To me, the star of the show is a dedicated Camera Capture Button built into the case. Once I put a case on my 16 Pro Max with a dedicated Camera Capture Button, I vowed I'd never own a case again without this added benefit. Cases without one are inherently weaker at that side/corner of the phone. And dust/dirt can get inside the case, which I don't want. The O Stand doesn't rotate on this version, though Torras does sell versions where the stand rotates. I just don't need the stand to rotate, so there's no reason to pay for something I wouldn't use. But the stand is made of high grade anodized aluminum and it's very strong and well made. I also appreciate the translucent Polycarbonate back. It will let the color come through, but not show any dust which could get in and translucent cases are not finger print magnets like totally clear cases. They're also less prone to being scratched. All in all, while Torras isn't the least expensive manufacturer out there, going cheap on a device which costs over $1000 just doesn't make sense. They're not too expensive, but they provide a degree of quality and protection, which to me is hard to match. I really like this case overall! The feel of it is fantastic—smooth and premium—and I love how slim it is without compromising protection. It works perfectly with my magnetic charger, which is a big plus. That said, I’ve noticed a couple of things. First, the ring on the back is quite sharp, which makes it uncomfortable to use as a finger holder. I’m not sure if that was its intended use, but that’s what I was hoping for. Additionally, I would like the ring attachment point to be positioned differently so that I can open the ring from the other side more easily. One final point: the section of the case around the bottom button on the right side (on the iPhone 16 Pro) is relatively thin. It tends to pull away from the phone when held in that spot—something I often notice, given my smaller hands. Despite these minor issues, it’s a sleek and functional case that I enjoy using. I had the same case for a previous iPhone and really liked it. I received this case in advance of picking up my iPhone 17 Pro and am very happy with it. It is both light and protective. The O stand is a must have when I want to watch something, which can be done in either portrait or landscape view. It is sturdy without adding weight or bulk to the back of my phone. The case is very reasonably priced for the quality provided. Fortunately, I've had no drops or mishaps with my new phone (yet). My previous phone, with the same case, got dropped a couple times from about 3 feet (once on pavement) and sustained no damage. Strongly recommend. Read more
