I ordered these sock because of the wool content. I picked the shades of gray option. I prefer socks with some measure of wool content, even in summer weather, due to their wicking capacity. The socks are very soft and comfortable. They seemed to wick the sweat away effectively to keep your feet from getting that “clammy”, damp feeling which eventually makes your feet get cold. I would have liked the wool content to be a little higher than the man-made content but, so far, they seem to be effectively wick moisture and are thick and comfortable. They are a lower cut design; with an ankle hem higher than an athletic sock but lower than an ankle sock. The cuff is double layered and provides a nice cushion against the edge of a low style boot. I wore them, the first time, with some low, ankle boots. I ran errands for several hours on a fall day and my feet stayed warm, dry and comfortable while wearing them. I also have found them a good choice to wear with slippers, just around the house, on my day off. I washed them with similar items in warm water and tumble dried on a medium setting and they turned out great. The wool content is less than the man-made content so they didn’t shrink at all. I would describe the fit as comfortable but not firm, both before washing them and after. And, once again, this is an ankle-height sock, not a standard sock that completely covers your ankle. I think the price is fair for 3 pairs. Read more
Very cozy, and lots of stretch so easy to put on and comfortable. Wish they were slightly higher but very happy with them. Read more
Very soft and cozy on a cold day! They stay in place and wash/dry well. Read more
The quality of these socks is fine: they are thick and cushiony, and I would guess they’d be warm as well. Not super-soft on the inside, but comfortable enough. They are a wool blend, but I would venture they’re clearly not Merino wool: Merino has a much softer and finer feel to it, which these socks don’t have. I’m reactive to wool (but not to Merino), so these socks will get donated, for that reason and also because I didn’t order, nor did I want, 3 pairs in black. But that’s what I was sent - twice. Happy to donate to keep someone else’s feet warm and dry through the winter, but disappointed that they are not as represented. Read more

These are comfortable, well-made socks and I really appreciate the thickness and warmth they will provide once the cold weather arrives in a couple of months. I get cold easily and for now, these socks are nice for wearing instead of slippers in the morning as the floors are pretty chilly. They are a bit too much for regular wear right now as it is still quite warm during the daytime. But I will definitely be wearing them with my winter footwear later on so I can stay warm and toasty inside or out. These remind me of the wool ragg socks my brother and I used to wear during the winter when were were kids -- a very long time ago, now. While these socks aren't quite as warm as those heavy, 100% wool socks, they do look and feel very similar. And the addition of a high percentage of synthetic fibers will likely mean these will hold up better over time. Despite the thickness, these socks are fairly light-weight. They are a bit bulky, so I probably won't be wearing them with most of my casual shoes. But my boots and walking shoes are just roomy enough to accommodate them. I wear a size 9.5 in women's shoes and these socks fit perfectly. I like the three-quarter length and I can easily turn the cuffs down for a cute look with low-rise boots (there is a contrasting band on the inside of the sock right at ankle height). The inside of the socks is just as shown in the pictures accompanying the product description -- a dense, looped construction that feels soft and cushy. The socks are rather loosely knit but still offer light support. The hidden toe seam is nicely stitched and is not bothersome. The toe and heel are lightly reinforced but not padded. And there is no additional cushioning or arch support, so these wouldn't be my first choice for serious hiking or camping in truly cold conditions (unless worn as a second layer). But they will be fine for my long walks or just working around the house and yard this winter. I was wondering if these socks might be scratchy since the type of wool is not designated. I do prefer merino wool for this reason. But perhaps I am just not as sensitive to wool as I was when I was younger, as these aren't a problem at all. Or maybe it is because the socks are a blend with only 40% wool. The socks launder well (I do not put them in the dryer) and price seems very reasonable. Read more
These winter socks for women are a blend of wool, acrylic, and spandex. They come in sets of 3 for sizes 6-10 and are medium to thick weight for use in winter. I have different pairs of boots that require thicker socks in order to fit well. I have always had to rely on mens winter socks as womens either run too small or arent thick enough. These socks solve both problems. These are not as thick as my spouse's mens wool socks but they feel just as warm and are thick enough without being bulky, to work well in different pairs of my boots. On the outside, they are not as soft as I would like but the inside is much softer. The only other issue that I didnt catch at first is that that are supposed to lay flat to dry. I've never had anything wool dry well while laying flat so I'll see if there is a work around. Other than that , these are soft, well fitting with no slippage and very warm. A very good value.
