Rating: 4.5 stars I got this because computers no longer come with USB-A ports and I still have several devices that require that type of port. I do hobby photography and often need to both have my camera cord and external drive cord plugged in at the same time. My previous solution required two different converters (one of which blocked other needed outlets, like the charging port). I was excited to get this because it both gives me an extra USB-C port, but the two needed USB-A ports. It also has HDMI, but I haven't had any conflicts there, yet, so it's less important to me. It's been easy to use and I'm not noticing any editing lag time. However, I am deducting half of a star (only because I can't prove this) because it seems like my computer battery drained quicker than usual and took a lot longer to fully re-charge. Read more
I picked up the TP-Link UH5020C as a simple way to expand the ports on my laptop, and itโs been doing exactly what I need. Setup was instant. I plugged it in and everything was recognized right away, no drivers or extra steps. The 4K@60Hz HDMI output works smoothly with my external monitor. The image is sharp and stable with no flickering or signal drops during normal use. For everyday work, streaming, and multitasking, itโs been consistent. Power delivery has also been solid. Iโm able to charge my laptop through the hub while using the other ports without noticing any interruptions. The two USB-A data ports handle peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, and external drive without issue, and transfer speeds feel in line with whatโs expected for 5Gbps. Build quality feels sturdy for a compact adapter, and the size makes it easy to keep in a laptop bag. If you need a straightforward 5-in-1 USB-C hub that supports 4K output and passthrough charging without adding clutter, this one has worked well in my setup. Read more

I picked this hub specifically for my MacBook setup and it's been perfect. The plug and play compatibility with Apple products is seamless, no configuration needed whatsoever. I use it daily to connect my MacBook to an external 4K monitor, charge through the 100W power delivery port, and run multiple peripherals through the USB ports all at once without any hiccups. The video output quality is excellent and I've had zero issues with random disconnects or lag that I experienced with cheaper hubs in the past. The build quality stands out immediately. The aluminum alloy casing matches the MacBook aesthetic nicely and feels premium, not like cheap plastic alternatives. The braided cable adds durability, and the self-storing connector is a thoughtful touch that protects the USB-C plug when I'm throwing it in my bag. It's compact enough to travel with but doesn't feel flimsy. The three data ports handle file transfers quickly, and having pass-through charging means I'm not sacrificing my laptop's charging port just to add connectivity. For anyone in the Apple ecosystem looking for reliable port expansion, this delivers exactly what you need without unnecessary bulk or features you won't use. It just works consistently, which is exactly what you want from a hub. Read more
