I’m blind as a bat, so one of the first things I noticed once I got it set up was how large the numbers on the screen are. I don’t always put my glasses on in the morning when I check my weight, so this is extremely helpful. The app integration is pretty seamless. I tried it out, but I found I’m not using all the features yet so I deleted the app, to not have one more app. But I think it’s great for anyone who could benefit from those extra features! The price is great for what you get, for sure. It’s got good weight, easy to step on, just hop on and it’ll tell you your weight. No need to let it calibrate to 0.0. I think it looks nice and sleek. Since this happened to a friend of mine, definitely make sure this isn’t placed near your toilet since the porcelain can shatter the scale. This is for any glass scales like this, so definitely not a manufacturer problem. Just a friendly tip! :) I think this will last us a long time. We use it every day and it’s held up for a few months with dogs and children also standing (and jumping…definitely not advised) on it. It’s easy to clean as well, I just take a microfiber cloth with cleaner on it and wipe away. Easy enough. Try it, I think you’ll get a lot of use out of this scale! Read more

Bluetooth scale automatically syncs with app on your bluetooth-enabled phone. I use it for my 88 year old father-in-law as part of his daily routine to check for water weight gain. The Bluetooth connection to my phone is something that I thought would be like a gimmick but turns out it is really useful. All I have to do is step on the scale and the weight is instantly recorded. The scale is very sleek, elegant and simple to use. Just pull the protective tab off the batteries and step on it. The display is very large and easy to read while the scale itself is very low profile. The top is a shiny black glass that does catch every bit of dust and print, so it's best to keep socks on. There is a re-set button under the battery pack that also acts as a mode button that will let you switch from kilograms to pounds to stone. The default setting is pounds and the scale is good for up to 550 lbs, which is impressive for a home unit. The tracking feature is a very nice one if you can get the app to work properly. I was not able, despite the fact I have plenty of bluetooth devices in the house that I've not had problems with. When I finally did get my phone paired and tested it out, I saw that the date and time set on the scale was waaaay off. It showed that the weight measure was taken on December 31, 1969 at 7:13pm. I could not figure out how to fix that and after an hour of fiddling with everything I could think of, I gave up. I will give Trackstar credit though - once you create an account and enter all your information, you do have the option of deleting your account completely, which I did. Fortunately, this works like a regular scale without the app integration, so I'm good with that. As for the price, it's pretty much on par with regular, glass-topped, good quality scales so the value is there even if you don't use the app, so I'm only dinging it one star. Read more
