Like many people, I started with the $10–12 alternatives and went through a few of them as they broke. Eventually, I bought this one - the one I should have purchased from the start. Something understated is how small/portable this is, and yet just how packable it is. There's a good video of this from someone, but it seriously can pack 2-3x what a cup twice it's size packs. The design is simply genius. Great job on this to the designer! I bought it for my car, but I can see this being incredible for camping or even backpacking -- mainly due to the weight. While I've always used zip lock backs, this actually makes a lot of sense in a backpack pocket. Also, I can't state how useful this is in a car with small kids. I really like how easy it is to open and empty. At first I thought the "claws" will make it harder to empty, but they don't. In fact, because they "hold" everything at the bottom effectively, it's almost an "open and empty". Think a bit like a Dyson v15 Pro chamber, but without the hairs ;) I was very surprised that it was 3D printed. I am not sure why, just didn't expect it. But I have to say, talking about quality and precision -- this is on a different level. Everything clicked and opened perfectly. No strings/fuzz/errors anywhere, nothing hanging out. I am genuinely shocked by the quality. Something I appreciated was having the orange colored "claws". When I initially bought it, I was considering getting the black one, but then I thought this might actually help make it visible at night. Sure enough, that's exactly what happened. I recommend getting that color for that exact reason if you want to make the opening somewhat visible at night. At last - I am not sure if others read the fine print -- but there is a lifetime warranty offered by the creator. It holds an impressive amount of trash and keeps everything neatly contained — even when it accidentally tips over or ends up on the floor. The way it is designed holds trash down so nothing flies out, and it looks clean and discreet in my car — not bulky or ugly like some other options. I only wish it was a little less expensive so I could grab a few more for my minivan, but honestly, it’s worth it for the quality. This really is a simple clever way to throw out trash. Obviously you can't put big bags in it but for napkins, tissue, candy wrappers, small items it's a winner. The little levers keep the trash down and your car stays clean. It fits perfectly in your cup holder. My only objection is that since it is going to live in my cup holder forever (though it would fit in the arm rest console) I wish it was a more fun color. What they offer is all pretty mundane. A nice purple or pink or blue would make it more pleasant to see as a frequent part of the interior. We spend money on great looking double walled drink cups, why not pretty trash receptacles? Super convenient. Not as tall as other trash cans but that is a bonus. Does stick up so high in the center console and short enough to fit in the door beverage spot in my F150. The taller ones did not fit in the door. Easy to empty and clean. Simple design that works! Read more
