great set, good price for quality hardware
This is a great kit - it's simple but has everything you should need to hang whatever you're gonna hang where ever you decide to do that, just provide your own drill and bit and you're set. I'm just planning to use these somewhere in an interior space so I can clip my climbing harness in and practice rope work and various climbing setups or adjustments because I hate doing that out in the yard. But, the wall I had visions of easily using only has one stud without power running along it so I'm debating where to hang them now; I'd much prefer a spot where I could put two of them a stud or 2 and maybe a little elevation apart to practice different anchoring techniques. So I'm still working on which backup plan to go with at the moment, but the kit is excellent. This is rated at mountaineering levels so of anything in your system these hangers properly installed should be the last thing that could fail and will last years and years. You can clip the proivided carabiners directly to a rope loop, or clip another carabiner to them (so hanger, carabiner, carabiner, hammock), but never mix metals with your hanger itself or you will get galvanic corrosion which leads to metal failure in time. If you use an aluminum carabiner just keep an eye on it and replace carabiners when necessary (probably several yeas) that way your hangers always stay pristine. Or, just use steel carabiners.
