Travelpro Platinum Elite Carry-On Rolling Garment Bag

This may be my nicest piece of luggage that I've ever purchased. Great quality and fantastic appearance! The luggage is sturdy, has plenty of pockets for storage and most importantly easily protects my nice suits. The only thing that is problematic is that the unit is too wide to roll down airplane aisles, but the luggage is light enough to make this really a nonissue. Love it! Read more

I have used this bag twice in the last month and both times something new has broken. First one was the zipper on the front pocket, which--with nothing in the pocket--disengaged, never to function again. Today, after a flight, one of the zipper pulls just disappeared. Where or when it fell off I can't tell, but I do know it was obviously not at a time when I was using either zipper. Random, unstressed occurrences caused both failures. Overall, very satisfied. Especially when considering the price. The handle could be a little longer when fully extended... or they could put 4 wheels on it instead of the 2 it comes with. Some people don't like the zippers. I think they're very sturdy and over time will loosen up a little, but they don't need too. I'm 5'10 and 175 pounds. I can fit 2 suites, 2 shirts, 1 pair of dress shoes, 1 casual outfit, 2 gym outfits, and toiletries without issue. Love the bag. Read more

On my first trip using it, the zipper barely worked and I couldn’t get one of the zippers around to the other side. The pullout arm would not fully pullout either. I had another model for about 3 years with no real issues but the wheels cracked so I bought this one. I missed the return by a few days and finding out how to get it repaired is too much of a hassle so they lost me as a customer. Read more

By far the best carry on luggage. This is my 2nd one. First one lasted me over 7 years, and to be honest, only thing wrong with that one was that it was looking a little worn and the handle was a little finicky to get up and down. Will get the old one repaired and hand down to my son. I am able to go for a week on business with a couple of suits with no problem. This bag is a beast! Read more

The good: Perfect for suits, dress shirts, dresses, and other formal clothing. Perfect fit in overhead as a carry on item. The bad: Very awkward when rolling as compared to spinner carry ons. The zippers tend to get hung up and can be very difficult to zip open or closed near the clasp on both ends. VERY FRUSTRATING. Overall it is a very high quality piece of luggage. But you pay for the quality. The frustration with the zipper prevents me from recommending this garment bag. Read more
