I was actually surprised at the quality of this turtleneck. The material is thicker than a expected and very soft. It fit well, was true to size and the neck kept its shape throughout the day. It's only been washed and dried a few times since I bought it but so far, I'm impressed. It washes up nicely. The sleeves are longer as many reviews have noted but I personally like that. I got one in brown and another in apricot. The brown is deep and neutral-toned and will go with everything that requires a brown top. The apricot is a vibrant yellow-based beige. I'm 5'1 and 110 pounds and the small fit perfectly - fitted enough to show the shape of my body, but not so tight that you can feel encased. I have a short torso and the hem fell to my hips. The material is buttery soft and the thickness is perfect for cold weather - it's like tee shirt material, but has a thin thermal layer under/within it so that it's warm like a sweater, but without the bulk. I personally would not wear this as a layering base. It's a standalone turtleneck that is warm but still slimming. If I didn't already have a good turtleneck in black and other colors, I would get black and other colors of this one. Read more
Wow these are fabulous tops! And what great fashion used to be (think Audrey Hepburn, Katherine Hepburn, and us skiers who ever heard of Jean-Claude Killy)! Supremely comfortable and forgiving for lanky ladies like me who also happen to be well-endowed. The necks aren’t tight but still hug my neck and ride high, and have the proper single seam in the center back. And perfect backdrop for a wool scarf, kind of like how jewelers display their finest necklaces. The body and sleeves are beautifully long. Great finishing details (important for longevity). The colors are saturated. They’re stunning with my short wool skirts, fleece-lined leggings and boots, and look especially sharp under an open storm coat with a scarf. The first time I wore this turtleneck, unwashed, I freaking loved it. Great length, stayed in place under my scrubs all day without me tugging on it once, fabric was warm. Then I washed it. It shrunk. Too short to wear now. So depressed about it. I guess I should’ve ordered two sizes bigger or not dried it. Unfortunately I cannot say had a line dried it, would it have shrunk? This is my perfect turtleneck! I'm going to buy more in other colors. It's a medium weight, and it's nice and soft. I bought it because I couldn't find my other turtlenecks during a cold snap.
