This is the perfect pen. It glides smoothly on the paper, and the ink comes out dark, evenly, and reliably, and it never smears. Comfortable to hold. It’s a pleasure to use and inspires me to write with better handwriting. And it lasts a ridiculously long time. This is perfect pen. When I lost my last TUL pen, I went to Walmart looking for a new one. They didn’t sell TUL, so I bought the most expensive gel pen they sold, hoping it would be as good. That pen was okay, but not nearly as nice as TUL. After trying to use it for a couple of days I decided that there was no reason to compromise on this and ordered a box of TUL’s from Amazon. For me, these are the king of pens! They are very well made, solid, and have a good life on them. They seem to last quite a long time before they run out of ink. The are a little more expensive than other pens of a similar design but they are superior in every way. I love the blue and black, and always have a stash of these at work and at home. Read more

I used it to jot a note down for the client to stick to his monitor and was impressed with it enough to hop on mobile Amazon and order both a pack of the TUL Retractable Gel Pens 0.7 mm Medium Point, Blue 12/pk and a pack of these TUL GL1 Gel Pen Retractable Needle Point Medium 0.7mm, Black 12pk . I did this at the client's desk before I left their site. The clouds opened up and the angels sang. I saw the light and was converted immediately! The Medium Points are great for signing and writing checks and the Needle Points are great for everything else. They write perfectly. No scribbling to get the ink started. No slop. Dries quickly so no smear. The only downside is that my kids are stealing them now! *** Further review after more use will follow, especially if they begin to fail somehow.
