I needed a durable duffel bag to use as a second checked bag for long trips. I wanted it to have a trolley sleeve so it can ride on my 26 inch B&R spinner bag. The TUMI Alpha Double Expansion bag checks all the boxes for me. The ballistic nylon is beautiful and durable. The handles are well sewn. The zippers are smooth as butter. The top opens nice and wide with strong snaps on each side. There's a large front pocket as a bonus. It’s a Tumi. That should be enough said. For those of you that look at the price and are thinking twice just buy it. You are buying a piece of luggage for the rest of your life. My first piece of Tumi has been going strong for over twenty years. Time stands by their products. When a vandal cut my handles Tumi had the parts for a twenty year old bag. This bag has plenty of room for a short trip maybe five days if you pack right. About the only criticism is the dark interior. A lighter color interior would make this the perfect travel bag. I received this item as a gift, and actually let it get returned. For $425, I found this to be a pretty cheap looking bag. If this were a $75 bag, I would leave a 5-star review, but for $425 I expect high quality and handsome material. Ultimately, found this bag cheap looking and not impressive in any way. Only one pocket in the entire bag. I returned it as I had better bags worth 25-50% of the price. I like Tumi products, and love my backpack from them, but didn't find this to be an impressive product. Read more
