This is the most powerful blender I have ever owned. I can put almost any fruit in there in its whole form and within seconds, it is a liquid. The control panel is extremely easy. There are just a few dials, but less is more as it has all of the functionality that you need for a blender. It has an on-off switch. It has a pulse switch and it has a speed knob with these three controls, you can make anything completely pulverized or just slightly pulverized if you prefer the pitcher is plastic, but it is a very durable heavy duty plastic that actually has a bit of give to it so if you want to drop it, it’s not going to shatter or probably even crack. It has a 2500 mL capacity which is pretty generous. You can make a smoothie for a small army. The top has a removable plug to easily add ingredients and the blades are razor, sharp with little teeth and a very high-quality stainless steel thick blades it can crush ice in literally seconds.” cleanup is pretty easy. Most of the parts are dishwasher safe although to keep it as long as possible I tend not to put plastic parts in the dishwasher and find that handwashing is just as easy. The design is quite well thought out as I mentioned previously the control panel is extremely easy to use. The picture comes off and on very easily and locks into position. It is a rather large appliance, but considering the size of the motor and the capacity with which it has, this isn’t really a concern for me if you’re gonna have a nice blender and you should plan a space for it. The title pretty much sums it up. This blender is a monster. It's rather large, so some people may have issues with cabinet clearance when it's on the counter. Styling-wise, it looks like a Vitamix 5200 series—but that's where the similarities end. By comparison, the TB79 has a 3.6L container vs. the 5200's 1.9L. And under the hood, the TB79 has a 3.5HP motor compared to the 2HP on the 5200. It's noisy—but no worse than expected. I tested this by making some homemade V8 and tomato bisque—both came out velvety smooth. I blended up milkshakes for the kids and orange crushes for the wife—everything came out great. This had no problem with anything I threw at it. A word of caution: BE MINDFUL OF THE PULSE BUTTON. If you hit the pulse button with the power knob cranked up (from a standstill), whatever was in your blender will now be on your walls and ceiling—and yes, my hand was on the lid. It's like handing a Corolla driver keys to a Mustang GT—raw power. Outside of my "incident," the lid does a great job of keeping the liquid inside while blending. Thankfully, the blender cleans up easily. At the end of the day, if you want ridiculous amounts of power, this is an easy choice at its price point. The Turbosaver TB79 is trying to mimic a Vitamix Blender. The Turbosaver blender fails to accomplish that task. It is not much better than a standard blender. I tried the make a smoothie and it left pieces of ice not fully broken down. The plunger does not really help to push the frozen fruit into the blades. It is not dishwasher safe so you have to hand wash the pitcher. As you can see in the photo, the water got into the handle when I washed it by hand and I didn’t even submerge it in water. This happened just running water over it. It seems a little expensive for a standard blender. Read more
