Other than being a little stiff when I first tried to roll it out, this has been a great purchase. If you order this during the winter, leave it inside and let it get up to room temp before trying to roll it out, the colder it is, the more difficult it will be to get it down. I've had it for about 6 months and it works perfectly for me and protected the carpet from a couple of minor spills. Once I had it rolled out and in it's spot for a few days, it laid flat and it does not move on me. I'm a 200+ lb guy, so the wheels of my chair will make indentions that take a little extra effort to roll out of, but there is no damage to the mat, it pops back up after some time once I move the chair. I will gladly give this mat a 5 if my last ditch to make my office chair roll smooth. My experience with computer chair mats hasn't been very successful. I have ceramic tile on my home office floor. There is a natural groove where the tiles meet. #1 Small area rug.....chair rolled difficult. #2 Clear mat with stubbles under side over the rug....nope. #3 Purchased larger wheels, 3 1/2 inches .......nope. #4 Purchased this wonderful mat, which I love but ,the wheels still find their way into the grooves. #5 Coming in a couple of days...4 1/2 inch wheels....TBC. ***Any words of wisdom other than replace the floor of my computer system to another room? The mat came rolled up on a very tight tube. After weighting it overnight on the floor to flatten it, it was perfect. We are using in under one side of the kitchen table that gets the most use because the vinyl plank floor is starting to show wear. This was a great size and is working well. Read more
It's saving my hardwood floor. It looks good, seems to be durable. Thickness is good, I would say average. But it slides across the floor and does not stay in place, on it's own. I have mixed thoughts on if I would purchase this product again. Read more
This mat is very thick & sturdy. I believe good value for price upon researching this product here on Amazon. I had little problem unrolling. However, I did not use for a chair mat, used under puppy pen & pads. Very thick & stable, have mopped multiple times daily & still looks brand new. Just watch unrolling, the carpet spikes are sharp!! & hold very well. Read more
It was once again time to replace my broken floor mats so I ordered a couple different ones this time in hopes of finding something better. This was NOT better! Same old cheap plastic that is going to crack and break in a year or two. What makes this one even worse is that they rolled it up as tightly as possible for shipping and even after heating it in a warm room for almost a week it was still all 2 of us could do to get the thing unrolled on the floor where we could weigh it down for another week, after which it is still waving and curling on the ends. We also had to wear heavy leather work gloves while doing this because the spikes on the back are too sharp to handle! I will NEVER buy this thing again! This is the best computer chair/desk mat I've had. Fits perfectly under my desk and chair. It sits flush with the floor so there is very little transition when moving my chair from the mat to the floor. This continues to be very durable, easy to lay flat. Great mat for the price! Read more
