We originally ordered this mat for my vanity room. We live in apartments and have turned the laundry room into my vanity room, since I have so much makeup and nowhere to put it all. It is floored with a wooden linoleum and while my desk chair rolls just fine on this flooring, I don't like being barefoot on bare floors, especially whenever I just got out of the shower. We first put it under my vanity and chair & it worked wonderfully!! After a month, we adopted a kitten from my son and my vanity room suddenly was being shared by a litter box. I noticed he was getting litter EVERYWHERE with nothing to catch the debris until I moved this rug under his box. What a game changer!!! This rug catches his litter than he flings and it stays there! I wear house shoes anyway but now I don't have to hit my shoes outside to get the litter off any longer. This rug almost covers the entryway to the laundry room and prevents litter from traveling throughout the house. It not only looks nice but it serves a purpose. It has a rubber backing and even though it's pliable, the cat doesn't and can't mangle and fold the rug. It's somewhat on the thicker side, but it's not thin by any means. This would be a mat that one would find at Kohl's or even at a Tractor Supply for the end purpose. Most definitely think it's worth every penny and highly recommend!! Read more
The Tydle Chair Mat is a good size and works exactly as expected. Unlike the clear plastic chair mats I’ve used in the past, this one feels more like a rug, which actually works very well on the hardwood floors in my home office. My chair rolls and glides smoothly across the mat without catching, and it helps prevent additional scuffs or marks from the chair wheels on the hardwood floor. The underside has a non-slip backing that keeps the mat firmly in place so it doesn’t slide around during use. One thing I like about this mat is that it looks much nicer in a home office compared to the typical clear plastic mats. Because it resembles a rug, it blends in better with the room. That said, the black and red color combination is a bit louder than I expected. The surface is also surprisingly soft, which is nice when I’m working barefoot since it feels much more comfortable than the cold hardwood floor. After using this mat for a few weeks, it has done a good job keeping my floor free from chair wheel scuffs. Overall, it’s a solid alternative to traditional plastic chair mats, especially if you prefer something that looks more like a piece of decor than office equipment. Read more

I dropped this mat straight onto the hardwood floor in my home office here in Ohio and immediately noticed how smooth and quiet my chair rolled—no catching, no sliding, and no annoying plastic cracking sounds like the old-school mats. It laid flat right out of the package (always a win) and the size was true to what was listed, so no awkward corners sticking up or curling like a bad rug situation. Functionally, this mat does exactly what I want: it protects my wood floors and makes rolling around my desk effortless, which is important when I’m bouncing between coffee refills and work calls. It’s also a nice alternative to those huge, ugly plastic floor panels that scream “corporate cubicle” instead of “home office.” That said, I wasn’t totally sold on the color. The “red” is more of a soft red / pinkish tone, which didn’t quite match my office vibe. I’d personally love to see a navy or gray option that blends in a little more quietly—this one definitely has some personality. Overall, if you want a low-profile, functional chair mat that works well and looks more like a rug than office furniture, this is a solid pick. Color preferences aside, it does its job well—and my floors (and ears) are thankful. Read more

We use this in our laundry room to keep our feet from the cold concrete and it's perfect right outside the washer and dryer we love it. The edges don't curl it doesn't slide it's easier to shake out and clean and we don't mind if our clothes fall on the floor cuz it falls on this carpet. Good for hard surfaces indeed. Read more
This chair mat is much larger than expected. At 36" x 55", it’s significantly longer than most standard desk chair mats, which may be great for some setups — but for a typical home office desk, it can feel oversized very quickly. That part was on me for not fully visualizing the dimensions, but it’s worth noting for anyone shopping. The price is reasonable for the size, and the mat does cover a large area of floor, which is helpful if you roll around a lot or have a wider workspace. It stays in place well and does protect hardwood floors from chair movement. That said, the material feels softer and thinner than expected for a chair mat. It functions more like a rug-style protector than a sturdy traditional chair mat, which may not be ideal for heavier chairs or constant rolling. The color is another downside. While listed as black and red, the red is very muted and faded — even the product photos show this — so it’s not a surprise, but it is a bit disappointing. It leans more toward a washed-out red/pink tone rather than a bold red. With no other color or size options available, that limits flexibility a lot. Overall, it does what it’s supposed to do, but the combination of size, color limitations, and softer feel may not suit everyone. ✅ Pros Very large coverage area Good value for the size Non-slip and stays in place Protects hard floors from chair wear Soft underfoot ❌ Cons Much larger than standard desk chair mats Material feels thinner/softer than expected Red color is very faded and basically looks pink No other size or color options May not work well for heavier office chairs Read more
