I love this shampoo, but I wish there would be refills in non-plastic packaging. That seems like an easy option since the shampoo is in powder foam.. Also, I can barely read the white print on the bottle. I had to take a photo and zoom it just to see the directions. Read more

I have to admit, I was skeptical, but still drawn to this product and it did not disappoint! Just one click of powder created a luxurious dollop of foam on my scalp. I did shampoo twice but realized the second shampoo was not necessary as my hair was clean as a whistle from the first! I worried it might be too clean and would have a rat's next to detangle once I got out of the shower but no...painless detangle and style. The end result after drying and styling was a soft, subtly scented and fluffy yet manageable head of hair (mine is superfine and blonde). Even though the scent was light, it lasted two full days. I will say the only issue I encountered was that the powder caked together at first with water. However, just adding a bit more water and rubbing my hands to emulsify easily resolved that. The shampoo comes in a plastic bottle that’s very hard to read or even photograph because the print uses a very small font and the contrast between the light green bottle and the white print is very low. It’s important to read the directions though, because this it’s not a dry shampoo as might be assumed. It’s actually supposed to be used on wet hair. Advantages of its being a powder are that it’s easy to travel with, and you can store a larger amount of shampoo in a smaller space. It’s easy to dispense, and it looks and feels like dry laundry detergent. It lathers up quickly and easily. I’d say that this is more of a clarifying shampoo rather than a moisturizing shampoo, so it definitely doesn’t make my hair oily. It gives my hair a little shine, but not that much. I like that it doesn’t seem to have any fragrance. The price seems reasonable if you’re in the market for a shampoo of this form factor. Read more

I’m in my seventies, at heightened risk of falling, and I have very dry skin, so I tend not to bathe as often as I did when I was younger. Except for the “pits and bits,” I can literally go a month without a bath, and even my sensitive-nosed friends and partner don’t notice. My hair gets dirty before the rest of me does, so I was looking for a dry shampoo to use between baths. This is not like the dry shampoos I’ve used in the past, where you shake the powder onto your hair, work it into your scalp with your fingers, let it sit a bit to absorb dirt and oils, and then brush it out. This is a dry powder that reconstitutes with a little water in your palms, and then you rinse it out after shampooing with it. It’s better for my needs than regular liquid shampoos, and it makes it possible for me to go longer between washings than the others do. I’m not sure what “clarifying” means, but it does a great job of cleaning my hair and (maybe?) repelling oils and dirt until the next time. I find I can go longer without washing my hair. I can do it standing at the sink, then rinse my hair with a diaper sprayer (normally used as a bidet or seed flat waterer) so I don’t have to climb into the tub to do it. So I like this product. It makes a lot of sense adding your own water to make a lather, and it takes up less space for the amount of product you get. Read more

This unique approach to shamppooing was certainly worth trying. It starts off as a powder but then turns into a soapy-foamy-like texture once mixed with the water. You want to make sure your hair and palms are wet prior to application. This helps the powder stay put while you massage it into your scalp. I think it works really well! My hair looks and feels clean after each use. The clarifying factor is great for removing oil and product build-up. Also, if you're someone who avoids heavily scented shampoos, then you may be happy with this powder. The scent is extremely subtle and doesn't linger at all. I really like how accessible the product is, too. There is a button near the cap that releases a pre-measured amount needed to wash your hair. Easy peasy! I don't have to worry about power squeezing or shaking a bottle to retrieve it like I do on liquid shampoos. If that didn't steal the cake, then how about the fact that it's free of harmful chemicals like parabens, sulfates, and minerals?! I'm completely sold on this powder shampoo!
