I've been an avid gamer for all my life, and most of my work has been in an office setting where I use a keyboard there as well . I've noticed that my age is certainly catching up with my hands. A combination of twiddling joy sticks, mashing buttons on my mouse, and of course the ever so constant scrolling on my phone, have caused great damage on my thumb. I am constantly pulling on it to make it 'pop'. . The minute I put this on it felt like heaven ... this is by far the best design, quality, and comfort for the price, honestly think its a steal. Ive been getting the Mueller brands at my local Walgreens but heres what really grinds my gears about them. The Mueller brand takes up more of the hand for no apparent reason, I feel they really restrict the wrist too much, and of course they have their brand name in BIG white letters on the outside. This deff has a SOLID feel to it, comes in the package flat so you mold it to the shape of your thumb. What the seller on this thing is the extra strap goes between the webbing of your thumb of your thumb, I think they call it the figure 8 strap or something. This is CRUCIAL and provides that missing feeling that the other brace couldn't! It actually feels like my thumb is getting the best natural position and can actually heal. Typing isnt a problem at all I typed this whole review with it on. Im going to buy a back up for sure cant beat this value! ***UPDATED after two weeks of use*** I wear this brace pretty much all day and sometimes sleep with it with ZERO problems, the best thing ive noticed so far is how versatile this thing is! This is perfect because other brace feel like they are just made for one person. When you receive this brace it comes really flat, its your job to bend and mold the flexible splint inside to your liking. Its super easy to bend and is solid so it keeps shape always. This allows for precise measurement of how much pressure you want on it, everyday I can feel my hand healing, so that means different areas are going to be effected and I can adjust accordingly. The figure 8 strap is again the real hero on this brace, provides that relief and gets rid of the tension that feels permanent sometimes. The only con I can say about this is there is plastic buckle for the thumb strap on the thumb that when secured can kind of dig in between your thumb and index, although this can be remedied my making sure you tuck the figure 8 strap right under it to provide a barrier, other than that I owe this brace a lot for the relief ive received. I bought two brands of braces for trigger thumb. This one (black) has an annoyingly complicated rigging of straps and buckles. Once I got it sorted out, I left it partially rigged to slip into each time. The black one breathes better than the blue one, and it has maybe a little better rigidity on the thumb, but I don't dare wear it at night for fear of gaffing myself in the eye with one of the buckles or the sharp edges and corners on the velcro patches. (To compare, the other brand--blue--is easier to put on and very comfortable overall. It holds my thumb joints fairly immobile, with a little stretch, while allowing full motion of my fingers, palm, and wrist. However, the fabric doesn't breathe as well as the black one. When moisture builds up inside it, my skin itches.) Read more

Works great for me to use at night for trigger thumb. I had another thumb wrap that I have been using and even when it was new it didn’t come up far enough on thumb to stabilize it very well, nor was it rigid enough. After a month or more that got even worse, so I started looking for a replacement. This one is just right for me. I only use it at night. If my thumb is stretched out during the night i don’t seem to have much or any trigger thumb issues when I wake up. The way it is designed it can accommodate anu number of hand sizes. I would definitely recommend. Read more
Been looking for years for a brace that truly supports the upper IP thumb joint. The best I could find was something with a tiny narrow strap to try to position over that joint. All the other manufacturers seem to think that only the lower thumb joint could use support. Happily, I found this and got relief immediately! It has an easily moldable rigid support to comfortably cradle the thumb and the hook-and-loop strapping to actually fully cover the joint. If you have this thumb joint problem, you will be happy with this. Don’t hesitate! UPDATE: Disappointingly, the hook-and-loop system isn’t effective in the thumb after a few days. I have to wear more than a few days for myligament isdue but the hook-and-loop system on the thumb itself is not staying. It can’t work if it pops off. So [sigh] still looking for a perfect suportive product for that joint. One that will work as well weeks after purchase as the first day. Maybe the manufacturer will read this and make improvements. And maybe I just need to return it. (Oops! Didn’t retain packaging. Didn’t anticipate this problem.) Read more
