This is an excellent set of sit shop lights, designed to be hung over a work area at least 10 feet high and provide bright and even illumination of the area underneath. I used these to illuminate my carport and was pleased with the results. The lights came well-packaged to protect the lenses from damage in shipping. There is no assembly to speak of, basically, just unpack and use. The ring on the top of the light is big enough to take most any size of S-hook and allows you to decide how far below the roof you want to hang the light by changing the length of the hanging chain. The power cables are short - only 5 feel long, so you'll need to be plugging in to outlets on the ceiling or running extension cords up to them. In my case, I used a waterproof extension cord with 4 branches to run up to the middle of the carport, and plugged 4 of the lights into it. This allowed me to turn them all on and off using the light switch inside that controlled the top plug of the outlet the extension was plugged into. I was very pleased with the lack of heat generated by these lights. Even after being on for a couple of hours, the housing was not uncomfortably warm. Unlike incandescent fixtures of similar brightness, these also have a broad angle of lighting instead of just a small focused area directly underneath. The diffuser on the front of the lights makes the glow even and bright for good coverage that isn't blinding or glaring. The only real problem I saw with these is swinging if you have any wind coming through the room. The lights are relatively lightweight, so a decent breeze will set them swinging to the point where they hit the ceiling. If you don't wrap or clip the power cord, the weight of the cable is enough to pull the light off-center. I ran a line from wall to wall between two eye bolts that went through the lifting rings (2 each) and provided excellent stability from swinging. Overall, a really good lighting solution in places with a medium to high ceiling you can mount to. Make sure you figure out how you will power them before buying. But if your situation fits them, this is a good set of lights in terms of quality, lighting performance, and low power usage. I highly recommend them. Read more

TL;DR; Bright; ~90W 100VA; Single Point hanger; quality chain/connection This is a nice bright 6 pack for economy lighting. The power is as rated coming in at 90W or 100VA. These are cast aluminum housings with plastic lenses and a single very robust ring for mounting with the included snap on chain. My usual caveat is that these LED lights are not designed to be serviced in any normal way so when they fail it would be either board level surface mount solder repair or buy a new one. If not over driven though LED’s can last a long time. 5 Stars and quite a good value. How I review: Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points. - 0 for value but I try to provide guidance -0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel -0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on execution I select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. So they're pretty compact, but put out a lot of light. They also get incredibly hot, and the hotter they get, the dimmer they get too. Not too noticeably, but a side-by-side comparison shows that they lose maybe 10% of their brightness as they heat up? They get so hot you can't touch them, but that's the case with all of these types of LEDs that I have. I don't know how long they'll last, but they work just fine for now. Read more

PRODUCT LED High Bay Light, 100W REVIEW I'm in the process of cleaning up the garage to make more storage and repair walls etc. One issue we always had was how dark the garage was (not just the paint color), so it was hard to see what was on shelves, or dark when parking cars, etc. We only had one bar bulb to light the whole garage. I hung these shop lights around the garage and connected them to a motion sensor (not included). Now whenever we step into the garage the lights turn on automatically. The lights are really designed for a larger space, they are super bright and can hurt your eyes if you look directly at them. But they do cast a ton of light and now the garage is fully lit up. My wife joked, if someone gets a splinter or needs surgery we can go the garage to take care of it. Regardless, I love them. I even hung one in the attic which was also always too dark. I like the included chains and screw in eyehook. It gives you a variety of ways you can attach the lights. I like that they are "plug in" and don't have to be hardwired. RECOMMENDATION I love these lights. They are a great value and super bright. Read more
