Great shop lights at about 12' height in shop. Previously had four tube T-8 fluorescent lights. Big difference and using at max brightness about six feet apart. Like it that driver is isolated from light. Good purchase. Read more

Just installed 8 of them and they are great. Very happy. Just keep in mind that the cord is 5 ft long. I wish they would make them longer but they light up my 40x64 pole barn great. Read more

If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer). * These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don't meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly. Why I ordered this item: When I bought my house there was little to no light in most of the 1000sqft garage. I wired up fluorescent lights but all of them except one have stopped working as that was a long time ago. When this popped up on Vine it looked like exactly what I was hoping to find as a replacement. Likes: * This is the single brightest light of any kind I have ever owned. It's so bright that I blinded myself the first time I plugged it in and almost fell off the ladder. * I ultimately had to go with the lowest wattage option to be able to use it in the space I installed it. That space has 14 foot ceilings and I hung it around two feet from the ceiling. Even at the lowest setting it's a beast. I have never had more light than this anywhere in this house or any other place I've lived. * I have an annoying neighbor who complained to me when I used to leave my old garage lights on. Wait until he sees this bad boy at night. * The housing is metal and sturdy. Everything about this light screams high quality. * The size is much larger than I expected it would be. This is not a con; it covers a pretty large portion of my garage, even from only ~12 feet up. No likes: * It definitely could be too bright for some users. Would I pay full price for this product: Yes this thing is an insane deal. Final thoughts: I now feel obligated to buy more of these. My garage will be a shining beacon of power consumption and my neighbor will hate it. Don't look directly into the sun, Steve! Read more

I just finished reviewing another very good high bay light (XYCN 200W UFO Led High Bay Light,120VAC,5000K Daylight Commercial Bay Lighting,IP66 Waterproof,30500LM,850W MH/HPS with Plug Area Lighting for Warehouse/Shop/Workshop/Garage/Barn/Gym/Factory), but I dare say this HYLELE light is even better. It’s also rated at 5000K daylight, but it definitely seems significantly brighter. This light is ultra, ultra bright. It also illuminates the majority of my 2-car garage, but its beam seems more centrally concentrated, providing brighter light to a large central area. (Whereas the other light seems to dispense its light further and wider, though not as brightly. I hope that makes sense!) This HYLEE light is also a step above in its construction. It’s much heavier, with its top shell made of heavy-duty die cast aluminum (the other light’s outer shell is made of heavy-duty plastic—still good, but not nearly as robust as the heavy-duty die-cast aluminum). And this HYLELE light is much more versatile: you can change the wattage (between 200W, 150W, and 120 Watts), and it also has dimming capability (0-10V). But my guess (I’m no electrician!) is that it can only enjoy this versatility if it is hand wired by a qualified electrician.) As is, it can only be turned on by plugging it in, which makes for stupid simple installation, but you won’t have those other features unless it is hardwired by an electrician. My only complaint here is that the light came with absolutely no instructions whatsoever (there’s no paperwork at all!), so I can’t be sure about what I just said. It’d take an electrician’s knowledge to answer it. Be that as it may, the HYLELE light itself, and as is, is an exceptional and exceptionally bright light that is easy to install. And as is, it would best be used with an outlet that is controlled by a switch. I highly recommend this light, and the only reason I’ve deducted one star is because the light came with absolutely no documentation—a huge oversight in my view. Read more

This is a fairly well solid built high bay LED light with a separate potted power supply that has a real UL listing. LED lights with the power supply thermally linked to the LED heatsink are a bad idea. This one does not do that. But at the highest 200W setting I measured over 70F heat rise over ambient. So if you put this in a garage where it is 120F near the ceiling in the summer, it would get to over 190F. It won't last long at those kind of temperatures. I added active cooling with a 120mm fan. It fits well with the spacing on the power supply bolts. Now it stays much cooler even at the higher setting. Power usage is spot on at all 3 power levels. And this is indeed a very high efficiency LED. This is the brightest light output of all my LEDs per watt. Read more
