Sincerely pleased with this hub! I bought it about 2 months ago and it's been working like a dream. I use it to switch my home office workstation between my personal miniPC, and work laptop. This allows me to have my 2 monitors, my wireless keyboard and mouse, all plugged into the hub. Then I just can swap the hub's cable between my 2 computers. Couldn't be simpler. I bought this for the longer cable than most other brands have (at a foot long I don't have to have my personal and work computers right on top of each other). NOTE: you'll need to connect a power supply to the hub in order to have things like USB dongles function. I am using the power supply for my laptop which fortunately happened to be USB-C. It does generate a little heat, but no more than I would expect for a device hub. Read more

really nice usb hub, i use it for most things and it’s great especially with laptops! i’d say its worth it if you use sd cards regularly or have a laptop with limited ports or no hdmi out. not 5 stars because mine came with a defective usb-c port but otherwise a good hub from a great company.
