UGREEN Nexode X 65W GaN USB C Wall Charger 3-Port PPS Ultra Compact Foldable Fast Charger for MacBook

This has become my one-stop-shop charger. It will charge my Samsung S24 with super charge very quickly, but also has other ports for multiple items. I appreciate that it still has a USB port too for older items. It can even charge my Lenovo laptop (albeit slowly) and it doesn't seem to overheat. It's small, the plug folds, and has worked great. Pros: Low Price Less Heat More Power Portability Collapsable prong Cons: Nothing This is great compact charger for your laptop, tablet, or phone on the go. I also purchased Anker GaNPrime 65W to compare with this Ugreen Nexode X 65W. They both seem to charge at similar time. The Anker one is little bit larger so I tend to take the Ugreen one in the personal item bag and put the Anker one in the suitcase as a backup. The benefit of GaN is more power less heat which this Ugreen Nexode X provides. I mainly use it for business trips. My work gave me a Dell laptop USB-C charger but the Dell charger is 5 times larger than this and only comes with 1 USB-C port 65W. The Ugreen Nexode X comes with three ports. Even through the Ugreen Nexode X divides 65W among three ports if they are all plugged in, I didn’t have any problem charging a Dell laptop, iPad, and 3-in-Charging station for my iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPod. The only confusion was the Nexode, Nexode X, Nexode Pro line up for Ugreen, I still don’t fully understand technical differences but basically: Nexode lineup = Good Nexode X lineup = Better Nexode Pro lineup = Best Comparing the 65W chargers from Nexode and Nexode X lineup, the Nexode X version seems to be shorter/smaller than the original Nexode version, but I would try the lower price point Nexode at my work desk, or bedside where that smaller charger size doesn’t matter too much. tested this with my usb-c meter and a usb-a meter and it does deliver as promised, and does a great job at it. On that, 5 stars alone. However, I wanted to use this to charge my Apple watch (USB-A) and two usb-c devices at night. The usb-c devices charge no problem, however it seems that since no current is pulled by the apple watch charger, when no watch is on the charger, but maybe there's enough for the charger to recognize something is plugged in, it seems to turn off the port. This means leaving the charger plugged in, watch charger connected all day, at the end of the day when I put the watch on the charger, it will not charge as the charger was unable to sense that a device was requesting power. I would recommend this with the aforementioned caveat. 5 stars for power available and efficiently -2 stars for lack of foresight on qi based chargers and the port shut-off +1 star for an attempt at energy efficiency with both GaN and port shut off to reduce phantom drain. I bought the UGREEN 65W USB-C Charger to be my primary daily charger, and it's earned a permanent spot in my EDC backpack. It has plenty of power to handle multiple devices at once, from my iPhone and Samsung phone to my tablets. It;s charging speed is fantastic, fully charging my S24 in under 30 minutes, and my Samsung tablet in a little over an hour. The foldable prongs are a great feature, making it easy to pack. This is hands down the best USB c charger you can buy! I keep one in my purse to charge my phone, laptop (13in MPB), Steam Deck, headphones, and retro emulator handheld... 2 at a time!!
