Customers say

Customers find the SATA to USB adapter works flawlessly and is easy to use, connecting SATA drives to computers via USB 3.0. They appreciate its build quality and consider it good value for money, with one customer noting it's cheaper than professional data recovery services. The device successfully recovers data from failed drives and is particularly useful for backups and system transfers. While some customers feel

cheap, very functional, decent speed

P. WellsNovember 19, 2024

I'm not using this full time. I had some very old drives that I didn't want to go to the trouble of wiring into my pc. I needed something simple to connect them and examine the contents of the drives, move data that I wanted to save and then blow away the contents. For ease of use, and speed of transfer, when you consider the cost, I mean... this is not going to hurt anyone's pocket book. I think you'd be hard pressed to find any real complaints other than maybe going down the "it won't connect IDE drives" rabbit hole, but who has IDE anymore? I mean... I do, I have 2, but they're so old at this point I'm just going to drill them. If I have been able to live without whatever is on their 20gigs of storage for the last 15+yrs I am not going to start missing it now. Read more

Yes!

Works great. I purchased this adapter to securely erase older hard drives, before donating them. I was lucky to coincidentally learn that Apple now (macOS Tahoe 26.2) advises securely erasing hard drives and SSDs simply by (1) encrypting them and then (2) erasing them, because the old method of repeated writes is not reliable for SSDs. This new method is also lightning quick, by comparison. Read more

Works.

Carlos GonzalezMay 30, 2025

Its a great device and it does what it says. My case however did require a bit more work because of the state of my drive, but I was able to recover a small portion of my hard drive that had failed headers. I did need to use the power supply that did come with it because my USB ports don't supply enough power, but overall I would recommend this if you have a drive just laying around and you need to get the files off of it. It worked!!

CustomerNovember 4, 2025

It worked!! Our old pc died and I really wanted to move some pictures off the old hard drive to the new pc, so I googled how to get them. Read some reviews on this cable and figured I give it a try and I’m not a computer person. I was so exited it actually transferred them to the new pc. Well worth the price of the cable! Read more

Good to use older drives for storage

Clifford WingerOctober 31, 2025

Good device to use old hard drives as backup of files. Power supply works for older spinning SATA hard drives, since they need more power than the USB port alone can supply. Read more
