Goal: I had an anker A8346 I was using with an iPhone 17 Pro Max with a usb controller, usb c headphones, and HDMI out. I wanted something that would utilize MagSafe and be easier to daily or travel when overseas to have a MagSafe stand capability with the ability to video out when possible. Design: It didn’t seem to bulky and I liked the folding out ability for Portability and it would fit easily in a bag. I don’t know if the Build quality would hold up over time but took some persuasion. Graphics: The graphics don’t look bad but matched an older anker usb hub from above. Performance: I’m not sure what the overall bandwidth of the hardware is for a hub use case like above because the input delay with the green was super slow in game that the movement was unusable for COD mobile gaming. I used a 90W and 65W power adapter but no change in performance the lag was still high. Maybe a YouTube video or if watching a zoom call to an external display where the FPS is more along the 24-30 FPS this would be great for but not for anyone trying to output a game from their phone since the latency is unbearable. I ended up returning it since it missed expectations for my case but if they release another one that handles the overall inputs and outputs for higher performance significantly me up. I just wish they didn’t use terms like theoretical and specified all the port limits i.e. HDMI 2.0 vs. 1.0, etc. If you need a family member to join a call with an old PC monitor or where they change the inputs on the TV for family zoom calls I think that would be more appropriate but not for a gamer or performance user. I've tried this magnetic hub and it worked great. The only different between this hub and others is that it has a MagSafe stand to mount your phone to the device instead of just hanging around. The ports are plentiful including a HDMI port. However, when you are using this device, your phone cannot be mobilized as it needed to be attached to the USB-C port. I prefer to use the wireless casting to mirror my phone to the TV instead of using this device. However, this device is working very well and it is a good "wired" option. Read more
