I found this in a YouTube review for KMV switches. During the video, what sold it to me was the ease of setup and use. It will wake your computer up from sleep and easily switch between computers effortlessly. Also works in bios, no issue. they also have a USB 3.0 Version which the review on youtube outlined " you dont need 3.0 for just keyboard and mouse, but if you were wanting to do data transfers than the 3.0 version would be a better option, although the other version is 29.99 and this one is 19.99 ...but they both include a 5v type c port for extra power but the type c cord nor the charging block is included with this unit. But all in all it works great, I've had it for a few weeks now and no issues. would definitely recommend to others that are looking for a simple solution, like I was on running one keyboard and mouse for two different computers. No software needs to be installed, includes two Type A USB 2.0 cables to run to either computer. The unit is smaller than the box it comes in. It kind of fooled me. But still a powerhouse of a KM switch and does what I need to when I need it too. And for the price, you can't beat it. Read more

I have a switch that I've used in the past to share my keyboard and mouse connections but it only works with USB 3.0 and one of my computers is a very old HP Slimline desktop (running Linux) that only has 2.0 so I bought this one. Small and easy to use, very quick. Good product. Read more

I’m genuinely impressed by the quality of this switch, especially considering how affordable it is. It feels well-made and performs exactly as advertised. I own several other KVM and various types of switches, but none have worked as seamlessly as this one. It consistently registers both mouse and keyboard inputs accurately, with no noticeable delay, which is crucial for my workflow, given how much I type and rely on my mouse. This switch has been a game-changer for managing my work and personal setups. It keeps one monitor active across both my work docking station and home PC, allowing me to switch between devices instantly to game, study, or get work done. I highly recommend it—it’s a fantastic deal at this price! Read more

It was really easy to set up. I plugged one port into my Macbook's dock and the other into a desktop. With just a press of the button I can quickly swap between my Mac and my PC, there is only a slight delay of a few seconds after the press before it starts working, but besides that it works great. I was even able to hook up a power cable to it so I can charge things using it too. It's small and fits very nicely on my desk as well. The light signaling which source its hooked up to is a bit dim so it can be difficult to tell at a glance what source it is, but its not much of a problem because its pretty obvious where its connected when you try to use a peripheral and it doesn't work until you press the button to switch sources. Having owned and used this Ugreen USB switch for a few months, I do not recommend it due to a behavior pattern which is highly interruptive. I don't easily see it reported in other reviews which is somewhat surprising. I use a keyboard and mouse, wanting to switch between two computers on demand. What occurs is a sporadic input lag and stutter of about 1 second while in the middle of typing or moving the mouse. When it occurs during typing the letter L for exampe, the result is a short, sub-second keyboard input pause followed by 6-7 additional letter Ls being input as though I were holding down the L key. This then requires me to remove the errant letter Ls, go back to correct what I was typing, and move forward with typing while hoping it doesn't happen again for awhile. When the issue occurs during mouse usage, the mouse cursor appears to freeze, going nowhere for a brief, sub-second period of time. This has nothing to do with the PC input delay observed when switching between computers. That is completely normal and expected behavior. I have not identified a pattern related to this. I have tested multiple keyboards and mice, including bluethooth mice, and not observed this issue go away. Read more

I needed a KVM Switch for my desk so that I could switch between the work laptop and my personal rig. Well, the V or video part of my needs turned out to be too expensive and too limited in capabilities, so I looked into the K&M or keyboard and mouse parts of my requirements. What I found was this device and few others like it. This is the USB 2.0 version and it works great. I plug the included cables into the respective systems (work laptop and personal rig) and then attach the devices I want to share between the two boxes into the other side of the side of the device. The top button is nice and handy and the LED lets me know which device is getting the signals. Nearly everything I've plugged into it has worked for sharing with one exception. Be warned, not everything may work with this device. I have a USB headset that has controls on the connection block for volume, speaker output and mic muting. This headset, a VTIN branded device, would not work with this KM switch. This has not a deal breaker as I don't need that headset on my personal rig at all, it's solely for my work laptop, as I work remote 100% and needed a decent headset for WebEx meetings and such. The work around was to plug the VTIN into the laptop directly and I'm OK with that. I haven't tried a web cam, but I don't do video meetings/Skype so I don't care. The headset or a WebCam may require more bandwidth. If you need to share these kinds of devices between two systems, you might look at the USB 3.0 version of this. It's like $10 to $11 more, but the increased bandwidth may be necessary to get the full range of device sharing experience. I still give it 5 stars, as it works great for the keyboard and mouse sharing which is why I bought it. Read more
