These are really slick and slippery, they also have a tendency to stick together a little bit from static. Now for the price of 500 of these things, it is well worth it if you know what you're getting up front. They don't protect from UV at all really and they breakdown if exposed to direct sunlight for a long time. Sure you're supposed to store collectable cards in a dark safe place that is climate controlled, but in this case I had the cards that I made spread out on a table for a long time and they all faded, which was fine, I just printed new ones, but I knew what I was getting. Almost all of the ones that had been in the sun tore up the side when removing the cards showing they were deteriorating. Sometimes the card slip out when used to play a game or the like with these covers. I found two ways to deal with this: 1. To keep the cards from slipping out you can obviously run a very tiny amount of clear glue across the top (like you would an envelope) when you have the card all the way in it and they seal up just fine. They don't look as nice after that but it works. 2. This one baffles me but it worked.. I heated up the plastic with the card in it pretty good and rolled a roller (I used one of those rubber rollers you use for crafts) over the edge and sure enough it stuck together and didn't come apart. Here is there strange part, those card sleeves I did that with no longer stick to one another. I haven't sat down to figure it out, but it was a nice added bonus. They just don't get static cling anymore. Maybe it was because they got so hot it eroded how the plastic coating so that now it doesn't stick together? I honestly have no clue. I assume these have absolutely no sunlight protection now that I cooked them but I haven't tested that part. I hope you found this helpful! Read more
