This little thing saved my BMW from being infested with rats. I live so rural that lots of little creatures come around the vehicle. It was easy to install easy to understand I check it weekly. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to keep rodents and other animals away from their vehicles. Read more

UPDATE

Michael W. RobinsonMay 10, 2025

UPDATE***** The first Loraffe Ultrasonic mouse repeller worked so well I ordered a second one to use in our camper van. I am really impressed with the battery life on these things. Even though the instructions recommend alkaline AA batteries, I just did a 10 day trail 24 hours a day using (3) 2800AH rechargeable lithiums and it is still running strong. The repeller cycles starting with flashing strobe / ultrasonic sound for a full 15 seconds, and then off for 35 seconds, then beeping ultrasound for another 15 seconds, then starts the flashing strobe/ultrasound cycle again. This is perfect, and I like this a lot more then the constant flashing and ultrasound continuously for 24 hours. When we camp, I either put the Loraffe repeller on top of the engine and let it run 24 hours, or put it on the ground between the front wheels and only run it from duck to dawn. We've camped in primitive spots in the high desert of central OR and northern CA, and west of the Cascades in rodent prone areas and have yet to have another one get into the van. >>>>>>original review from May 2025>>>>> I ordered the Loraffe Ultrasonic Mouse Repeller to use in our camper van after a frightful 2 nights of mice during a recent trip. We've cleaned and bleached the van, put peppermint sticks into crevices at the headliner and floor, and have 2 couple of battery operated traps. We will be using the Ultrasonic placed under the engine after we stop to camp. At first I was hesitant, not knowing how our 10 year old basenji would react to the ultrasonic feature, but testing this out three feet from her while she was sleeping, the high frequency sound doesn't appear to affect her. Time will tell if this deters mice from getting into our van, but no mice is a good sign. >>>>> Read more

Time will tell!

RNBNovember 4, 2025

The rodent repellent seems to work, but it has only been a few days so I cannot state for sure it will do the job? It is constructed well and has very good instructions. I would rate it five stars if I knew it worked, time will tell. Read more

The ONLY thing that works!

A. MartinezJuly 4, 2024

TLDR: Nothing works on wild rats, except this device. PROS: It just works! CONS: Only lasted 8 months, and needs 3 AAA batteries every 45-60 days. ...Now on to the review. I have a wild rat problem with my Heavy Equipment that lives outside in a field all day everyday. I initially installed one of these in my brand new backhoe as a precaution. To my surprise it never got rats. Fast forward about 8 months, I started getting rats all of a sudden. They were chewing up wires, and hoses, and costing me lots of money and time in repairs. It didn't dawn on me at this time to check the sonic device, I was in full panic mode. So I try repellent sprays, throw bags which are a repellent as well, poisons (Yes I know what people say, and I don't care there are thousands upon thousands of wild rats in this area, and it costs time and money to repair the damage) I tried multiple methods, multiple brands, nothing worked, the rats actually ripped up the "repellent bags" and made a mess as if to prove they aren't afraid of them LOL. Anyways, after 3 weeks of this mess, I finally thought maybe my device isn't working anymore. Come to find out, it had in fact died for good. It got clogged up with fine dust. So that sucks, but I bought another one. I installed it, and BAM, instantly, no more rats! For me the simple Pro outweighs all cons, because it's much cheaper than repairs. Read more

Peace of Mind - No more Squirrels

VedraDecember 28, 2025

This product was easy to install and maintain by just changing the batteries. It has continued to operate with no glitches. More importantly I've had no problems with squirrels for over a year now and feel confident I can attribute it to this product. Read more

I was skeptical but all rodent activity ceased after under hood instillation

Terry L.December 11, 2025

I bought this for my father to use in his truck after a rat chewed a hose in the engine compartment, we live in the country surrounded by hay fields so there is a never-ending supply of rodents, since installing this product on the day of delivery, as of 12/11/25, I have not seen any more rodent activity in his vehicle. A friend of my father's uses this product to keep mice out of his tractors and other ranch equipment and swears by them. I may modify the product to run off the vehicles battery to eliminate the need for replacement batteries, but I would not recommend doing this with a vehicle that sits for long periods of time like a ranch truck as it will probably drain the battery after 9 months or so. Mouse party house!

SamJune 3, 2025

Was away for 6 months with this under the hood of my garaged car. A friend checked on it 3mo in: no mice. But upon return after 6mo, a cute little mouse and his family were found partying to the strobe lights under the hood! Upsides: battery didn't die and was all-clear for 3mo. Downsides: the mice apparently got used to it. Read more
