The developers behind this dungeon rpg, Experience Inc, are no strangers to the Xbox platform, and this latest addition to their drpg portfolio is one I didn't want to miss. Bought it at release day for the full $60. Now that I completed the game a few days ago and have had time to process my playthrough experience, I can say it was worth it. Not only did I get 65 hours of playtime (not counting the accumulated hours lost to me rebooting the game when I was about to get wiped out in a random encounter), but I was also entertained all the way through. Some people might consider the game somewhat barebones because it lacks some bells and whistles of modern games, but the no bs experience is part of the appeal of Experience games. Just you against the dungeon, and a whole lot of mobs in the way. The random encounter rates were very reasonable, actually, so traversing the dungeons never became tedious or a chore; I actually enjoyed looking for hidden doors for treasure and whatnot. One thing I do want to mention is that Experience is a smaller developer, so they took the liberty of recycling some enemy/dungeon designs in order to provide more long term content. It's quite evident some enemies are recolors of enemies you fought two dungeons ago, including some bosses' designs being used on random encounter enemies late game. If that detracts from your enjoyment of a game, it might be something worth considering. Maybe wait for a price drop. Played this on Xbox Series X. Flawless performance, as you'd expect, with the exception of one crash I could not recreate. If you're a fan of dungeon rpgs like Etrian Odyssey, Shining in the Darkness, or even prior titles from this developer like Stranger of Sword City, add this one to your collection. Read more

Game is developed by a small japanese company (Experience) This is the second dungeon crawler title they developed for XBOX,1st is called "Strangers of Sword City" Game has an amazing art design on characters and enemies.Best I have seen on a while. Gameplay is good so is the music, has that 90s vibes from the computer games on DOS but updated overall. You can spend A LOT of hours on the game if you like own every item Be sure you like this kind of games and expect graphics from X360 era while moving on 3D enviroment. Just to say thanks to Aksys for take risk and launch a physical copy for XBOX (There is a japanese pshysical copy of the 1st one with english language on the disc) Personally, game worth the full price and it could be one of those obscure and rare games for XBOX on a few years... Played it for like 30 hours. It's a lot of back track here and there fight this and that and the story is okay but it's by no means a bad game if you enjoy dungeon crawler turn based rpg The classes are meh and don't seem to matter much. But it's overall fun. Read more

The ps5 ESRB version of Undernauts contains a game breaking bug which prevents progress unless you are able to patch the game online. The ps5 PEGI version apparently will have this fixed for their print run, or you can opt in for the ps4 esrb version which does not contain the bug. Aksys continues to sell this paperweight disc despite the disc build being unplayable from beginning to end. This product needs to be recalled and a new print run established. Read more
