Size breakdown: - 5’5”, 108 lbs, pear/athletic-shaped - 9.5 women’s US shoe size - 13.5” around widest part of unclothed calf - Size small fit perfectly The size chart said I should get a large, but this seemed wrong because I’m pretty tiny and these are unisex. I went with small because it just seemed logically right. The small fits perfectly. Anything else would be too big. Do not go off your shoe size. Instead, go with what you think your unisex calf size would be, or compare to my or other reviewers’ measurements. I haven’t used them yet. I deducted a star for the completely inaccurate and worthless size table. Update: I used them once so far for snowshoeing. They worked great! They stayed in place, kept snow out of my ankle boots, and made no noticeable difference in my ability to move around. I’d give them 5 stars if it wasn’t for the useless size table. I 'settled' on these budget gaiters because I needed a pair for a hike on short notice. my decision was based only on the fast projected delivery date. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but anything was better than nothing with a lot of fresh snow on the ground. I wish all my purchases were this much of a pleasant surprise! The media could not be loaded. Your size will be determined by both Calf Circumference and Shoe Size. For the boots the goal is to have a tight wrap around them so that snow can not accumulate between the gaiter and boot. The pictures show how Gaiters Size L (which is the recommended size for Shoe Size 9) was too big for both our boots. For the calf you are aiming to create light pressure under the top of the calf when the gaiters are strapped. This is to prevent the gaiters from sliding down and snow getting in. You can use us as reference: Wife Gaiters size S fits both her boots and her calf. Calf Circumference: 14 inch Boot Size: 9 (Woman's) Myself Gaiters size M works good for my boots but there is still plenty of space on the calf. We use them for heavy mountaineering, so far we haven't been able to puncture them with the crampons. Breathability is not phenomenal, so no the best for warm weather but on cold weather they stay dry in deep snow. I'm not sending these back, but wouldn't buy this brand again. . As is typical, there's a long velcro fastener along the front, and at the bottom, a hook to grab your boot's laces. It seems obvious to me that the bottom piece should have the hook, so it can be engaged, then the other velcro half joined. But these have the opposite: you can either engage the hook and then try to slide the other half under (very awkward), or join them and then hook, which is not ideal. . The strap that goes under the boot has a buckle which is pulled half under the boot when fastened. I hate to guess how long this will last while walking over Colorado rocks. . There's an extra flap at the bottom of the main velcro seam, completely unnecessary and time-consuming to deal with. . There's a fastener at the top, with a plain strap on one side and a fitting with two slots on the other. I've tried all four ways to thread the thing (no instructions, of course); they're all awkward to get done and none of them hold securely. I don't like leaving the ends flapping in the wind, so I'll probably just cut both ends off. Read more

I really like this leg gaiters. They are easy to use, fit great, and are durable. I walk my dogs through some pretty deep snow and these are perfect for me. They are so good that I bought a second pair, so I could leave them attached to a pair of trail runners as well as a pair of hiking boots. They also work well even if I also have micro-spikes on my boots because the strap on the gaiters can go either on top or under the spikes. Read more

I like to walk when it’s snowing or right after so my pant legs always got wet so I ordered these. They’re absolutely great. My pants stay dry and the snow doesn’t stick to the gaiters. I wish I would have thought to buy them years ago 👍👍 Read more
