I love this dust for my short hair. I sprinkle it in at the roots then use my fingers to create volume and depth. I've seen reviews that say there is nothing inside but it's just light. There is plenty in there. I've been using it at least 4 times a week for about 3 months now. Helps hair stay backcombed or teased. But be careful not to use too much or it will make your hair texture hard to handle. It takes away the silky feel, but we all know that silky hair doesn't stay backcombed. This is how I apply it: make a horizontal parting in crown (from ear to ear) and sprinkle just a tiny amount right next to scalp, then continue downward with consecutive partings about 3/4 inch apart, down as far as you want to tease. I usually apply it as far as the occipital bone, just above the nape of the neck. Then I comb through hair to distribute product down the hair shaft. I don't apply product around my face (in front of ears) since I like that hair be appear more luxurious, and I don't do any teasing or backcoming in that area anyway. I only need to apply product once between shampoos, it lasts for days of teasing or backcombing. I'm 55 years old and have shoulder length hair that is heavily highlighted. This stuff is pretty cool! It feels SO weird, and if you're wanting to be able to run your fingers through your hair, this isn't for you. However, if you want major volume for an updo or for every day, this stuff is magic. I have blonder, fine hair, but my stylist recommended it to me and she has super dark hair, so I think as long as you put it under the first layer of hair and rub it in pretty well, it doesn't make your hair white. I’m so disappointed. I use this line of products and this is the first time I’ve ever received anything from unite like this. The bottle was EMPTY with barely any product in it and the bottle was sticky. There was no packaging and the bottle wasn’t sealed in anyway. Returning! Read more

This is the only hair product I’ve found that actually gives my very straight very fine hair texture and lift!! Doesn’t make it at all greasy. You do have to rub it into your hairline so it won’t leave powder visible. A little goes a long way so the bottle lasts nicely too! Read more

I've bought this product three times from Amazon; it works really well, and I recommend it as a hair product. But since I have purchased multiple times I know how long the product should last. Last time I purchased, it had much less product in it than before, and it is impossible to tell how much is in the bottle. I find this a bit suspect, so in the future will buy from the Unite website instead. I figure they have quality control. Read more

I was recently referred to "Expanda Dust" by Unite from a long time friend that I havent had contact with in a long time, she got through an outdoor wedding (her step-son's), the temp that day was in the 90's! She looked Phenomenal! All day! Her held up with Expanda Dust and Arasol hair spray...she turned me on to this and now I have to order from Amazon because there are no local beauty supply stores or salons around me that sell it....just make sure, if you have a husband that is anal about cleaning, to put this bottle of miracle away, out of sight...because this bottle is pretty much weightless and my husband thought it was empty and through it out!...WHAT?! Yes, I had to buy it again...only had the first bottle for a week (little goes a long way!), so I bought a another brand in the mean time, that said it does the same thing, but was very disappointed...so glad to get my Expanda Dust Back! Just wish I could go down to the local beauty supply store and get more instead of mail ordering it...but I'll deal with it as long as I can get it with Amazon! Read more
