Read the reviews and hoped for the best, and got the best. Works perfectly, makes great espresso, and though it does dribble if you pour with the lid shut, if I open the lid and pour slowly, it doesn't dribble. Bought this to use in hotels, and it's going to be great to wake up and have espresso without having to get dressed & go out to find one. Now if I could find an adaptor to use it in the car... This is a good gadget but one part breaks easy. After you put coffee in the holder you put the " compression " piece over the coffee that holds it while the espresso is being made. This part breaks easy as the piece you hold it with comes apart after a few uses. The TINY TINY Holder comes off the plate. And of course mine rolled down into the garbage disposal. It is very tiny and hard to grasp. I got lucky as I have tiny hands . I found it after hunting, lucky as it would have destroyed the disposal. They need to fix this error in making it. I am so pleased with this coffee maker. I would love to have an espresso machine but also love my Italian coffee. This coffee maker is the perfect answer. For those who complain that it does not make 3 mugs of coffee, its not supposed to. It's making 3 espresso sized cups of coffee, and it does it easily and to perfection. My only complaint is that it does not switch itself off automatically when the brewing is finished. I tend to walk away and get busy on something, forgetting for a bit that I turned it on. I have been trying to find an electric moka that I could travel with. I have tried a few and the brewing time/temperature was wrong and the coffee always tasted terrible. This moka is incredible and the coffee tastes perfect! It is the smallest electric moka I could find (and I have searched relentlessly all over the internet and Italy for one). I can only give it 4 stars, however, because the lip that pours the coffee is somehow designed wrong and it leaks all over the despite trying to figure out how it is engineered wrong. I have seen other comments on Amazon talking about this but I found out for myself. The pour always resulted in a wet counter and wasted coffee. I “fixed” it by using a Bialetti moka top that I had in my cupboard. Miraculously, it fit and the problem is solved, but that doesn’t let the manufacturer off the hook for a poorly designed product. They got the temp and cooking, right, but the pouring is another matter. You can see the lip is too small. In any case, the coffee tastes great, but the engineering needs a redesign. Read more

Got this for my son to take to college to use in his dorm room (don't tell!) I have used a stovetop version of this type of espresso maker (a Bialetti) and I would say this makes equally delicious coffee. You have to use a very fine grind and, of course, it makes a small quantity of espresso, but it's quick and delicious. Our Nespresso machine, that cost twice as much and takes expensive pods, doesn't make anywhere near as good of espresso, and it broke in less than a year. Read more

Received 2 days in advance which is great, tested, working, so far everything seems fine. Simple operation, just keep in mind that the exterior gets really hot but there's a sticker informing that. It's supposed to be like that. Read more
