I ordered this Unwell hoodie, size X-Large, and I’ve been wearing it frequently (probably too frequently) since it arrived! I’m a big-time hoodie fan – when I get home from work, I almost always put on some shorts, a t-shirt, and a hoodie (even if it’s warm outside – and I live in the south.) I’ve never checked out merch from Unwell before, but the blackberry acai color immediately caught my eye when I was scrolling on Amazon. The color is striking without being overly flashy, and while it’s a color I don’t usually order, I am glad that I did in this instance. It’s a purplish shade that’s bold, but also versatile – I usually am wearing dark-colored cotton gym shorts when I put it on, but I think it would pair well with jeans also. The Unwell graphic also adds a playful touch that makes the hoodie feel a little like a statement piece. The fit is spot-on for a unisex design. I prefer a relaxed fit with pretty much any kind of top – hoodies, sweaters, jackets, etc. – and the X-Large is true to size. I’m 6’1” and I have a slender build, and a size Large would probably have fit well also, but again I like a baggy feel, and I also like to get things like hoodies in a larger size in case they shrink after repeated washings. The 50/50 cotton-polyester blend is soft and feels smooth against the skin, and so far the hoodie has retained its shape after several washes. Like some other buyers have noted, there was a slight chemical odor when I first opened the package. It wasn’t overpowering, but it was noticeable enough that I tossed it in the wash first before wearing it. A single cycle with mild detergent took care of it, and the hoodie came out looking and feeling fine. Another minor gripe is the price. While the quality is solid, and the stitching and overall construction are good, I’ve seen comparable hoodies at slightly lower price points. That being said, if you’re willing to spend a little more than the average sweatshirt/hoodie, the unique color and design might make it worth spending a little more. In terms of durability, the fabric hasn’t pilled or faded after several washes. The hoodie has also retained its soft and cozy feel, and I’ve made sure to wash it only with similar materials and colors. Overall, I really like the Unwell Hydration Hoodie. It’s comfortable, stylish, and has just enough flair to stand out without trying too hard. The initial odor was a minor inconvenience, and while the price feels a touch high, I have no other complaints. This is a great sweatshirt, and so cute!! It's very soft and the fabric is smooth and really comfortable to wear, and it's a nice heavy weight that's very warm. It isn't super stretchy, so keep that in mind when you're choosing a size - the fit is exactly what I expected based on the size chart, and slightly oversized. The graphics are very nice, and I see no signs of peeling or lifting after several times washing/drying, and no shrinking. This is a unisex hoodie, but the color is on the feminine side; a tint of periwinkle. It is true to fit, but it’s on the baggy side, so it might feel bigger. My wife has been wearing it a lot and finds it very comfortable. It’s a soft hoodie, what you would expect for a cotton poly bend. Not as soft as cotton, but it wrinkles less with the polyester. This is the kind of hoodie that is really comfortable to wear in the fall as the weather begins to cool down. It’s a comfort item. I’m not familiar with the brand, but it’s a minimal logo. Read more
