Tip: watch some of the videos right here on this Amazon page from other buyers - they'll give you clues on how to properly use it. I think to make really good videos, you'll need to practice it a little with this device because you don't really see what's on the screen as you're filming. That, of course, is not a comment on the product - it's just how it works with such devices. But it is sturdy enough, even has a remote for your phone (which will come very handy depending on what you're filming). You can not only change the brightness but also the color quality of the light - between more yellow and more blue. That can make a big difference in how your product comes out in the final edit. Easy to assemble, adjust, and use. Light has a few different color options (white, blueish, and yellow) and multiple brightness settings for each color. It came with a remote to connect to your phone to control your camera, however I cannot speak to it as I didn’t even bother using it. This mount works great for filming hands on tutorials, or just as a work light. Great option for anyone doing crafts and wanting to film or just have light right where you need it. Highly recommend. I am new to creating video content, so I don't have much experience with products like this. I was afraid that this overhead light and phone mount would be weak and wobbly considering the price point, but I am very pleasantly surprised with this light. It is very intuitive and easy to set up. It attached firmly to my table, I am not concerned with it falling over. The arm is very strong and stays put where I move it to, even when holding the phone. There is very little wobble when I push the record button on the phone, but even so, a remote control is included. I have not tried it yet since the wobble dampens out after just a few seconds, but I will give it a go on my next video. And the seller provides great customer service, they even contacted me after purchase to make sure I was happy with the product and able to get it set up. In hindsight I should have bought the 12" ring version that would give me a little more room to look through the ring while working with the product I am recording. Read more

I bought this primarily so I could craft under a natural-seeming light in winter evenings. I also don’t want to look like a zombie on Zoom calls. I’ve been using it every day, basically all day for the past week when it came in the mail. I absolutely love it. The setup was very easy. It came in a few parts that easily join together. Given the price, I was honestly surprised at how high quality it is. The metal is sturdy. It clamps on to a desk/table with a screwable bar (sorry, don’t have better words for that). The clamp part is padded so it won’t damage the surface. I’ve moved it a few times so far and have not noticed any marks left behind. A really nice feature is that there are little hooks to thread the wire through to cut down on cable clutter. You can do three different light shades (warm, neutral, cool) and can make it brighter or dimmer. The only con is that it can take a little getting used to adjust properly. It's a nice light, but the phone clip is too small and shallow to hold phones in cases. There's a high chance your phone will fall out of the clip. Also the arm can't really take the additional weight of a phone. It tends to lower down, even with knob tightened. I don't use it for shooting videos anymore, but as a craft lamp over my recliner.
