This device, for me, has mixed results. The device itself is made from fairly thin material and uses manually adjustable straps. It does provide a gentle stretch and can help relieve some neck tension, so it does work to a degree. However, the overall quality feels a bit low, and I’m not sure how well it would hold up with long-term use. One of the biggest challenges was getting the straps adjusted to the right length. It took some trial and error, and even then, it wasn’t very comfortable. The setup and use also felt a bit awkward, which made it less convenient than I expected. Overall, it may offer some benefit if you’re just looking for a basic neck stretch at home, but the comfort and quality could definitely be improved. I get frequent migraines, and the only thing that consistently helps them go away within the same day is when my husband gently pulls on my head. We’ve always joked that he’s “trying to pull my head off,” not realizing there’s actually a name for that type of relief. So when I saw this device that’s designed to simulate that motion, I was really excited—because migraines don’t conveniently show up only on weekends when he’s home. I’m happy to say it really does mimic that gentle traction feeling, and it has helped me in situations when my husband isn’t available. For that reason alone, it’s been useful. However, I do feel like the listing photos and specs are a bit embellished compared to what you actually receive. In the pictures, the device looks thick and heavily padded. In reality, it’s quite thin. The outer material feels like a pleather-type fabric, and the inside is soft but not nearly as plush as the photos suggest. The hooks also look much sturdier in the listing than they do in person. It claims to hold up to 330 lbs, but I seriously question that. A 250 lb person used it without putting full body weight on it, and the hooks bent. They were bendable enough to reshape and keep using, but the fact that they bent at all says a lot about their strength. So while this device has genuinely helped with my migraines, the product presentation may set expectations higher than what you’ll actually get. If you go into it understanding that it’s thinner and less heavy-duty than it appears, you may be satisfied. I am a senior, and I have had plenty of stiff necks in my life, some pretty painful. I play tennis and that is an active game, an it is pretty easy to do "something" wrong. I thought this traction device looked really promising.. It basically pulls up (gently) on your chin, and on the back of your head. In one of life's ironies, I had a terrible stiff neck the day it arrived. That being said, it isn't exactly easy to set up..but once you have it figured out, and adjusted, oh, it does provide some relief. But, setting it up takes some time, and you have to be really careful. Take a minute and look at the instructions, because it explains what goes where. There is a double blue sling, the long part of the sling goes under your chin, the shorter sling goes under the back of your head. In order to put this on, you have to release two black velcro straps that connect the two slings. These actually end up under your ears. I try to figure things out without directions, and I failed. Take the time and look. Once you have the double sling on, you need to attach the long straps to the square door hooks. There is a look that allows you to adjust the length of these straps. This is where you have to be careful. You do not want to jar your neck suddenly, the idea is to give yourself some gentle traction. I have no medical background, none, but I have had many many stiff necks, and I did feel some welcome relief when I finally got this set up and felt the gentle pull. It is like when you stretch out your legs.. or when you stretch your back, you feel good, but you do it slowly. The media could not be loaded. This device definitely helps alleviate tightness and compression in the neck. It’s well made and easy to get in and out of. The material is soft around the chin, easy to secure the Velcro straps in the back and the space for your ears to be out makes it nice and comfortable.
