I'm a personal trainer and got these set up in my personal training studio. Being a trainer for over 30 years I've owned and tried a lot of different equipment. I've used these bands for myself and tried them with some clients with different strength, ability, and fitness levels. My first impression upon opening the package and setting it up was that this is a well made, solid, versatile, and well designed piece of equipment. It breaks down into compact components for storing and sets up quickly if it won't be left set up all the time. The set comes with a nylon drawstring storage bag which is handy. There are four 65# resistance bands that will accommodate a wide range of body weights and strength levels from beginner to advanced. There are also options on the attachment point to provide high, medium, and low resistance. The ability to attach it to the top, side, or bottom of a door frame adds additional options to get a full body workout from one piece of equipment in a small space making it perfect for home use. It comes with an instruction booklet with photographs showing how to set it up and use it for pull-ups and nine additional drawings of exercises to include for a full body workout. Also included are some palm grips that strap onto your wrists and are designed to add a bit of cushion and grip to your fingers on the bar. They are a little cumbersome to put on but worked okay. I use padded weight gloves when I workout so I likely won't use these. I attached the bands to my Smith Machine which has a pull-up bar but the design lends itself to several options such as: a bar in a doorway, Monkey bars at a playground or bars on a par course, a squat rack, or Smith machine at a gym to name a few. I have some Perfect Pull-up swivel handles for doing pull-ups and changing the hand position from military to neutral or chin up positions. I hooked these over my pull-up bar and they worked well with the assistance bands allowing me to target my muscles at different angles. In comparing these to an assisted chin and dip machine found in many gyms, due to the instability of hanging freely versus kneeling or standing on a platform with the body supported, these assisted pull-up bands will activate more muscles to stabilize the body and assist the primary muscles involved in doing pull-ups. Overall, I'm very impressed with this product and would not hesitate to recommend it anyone wanting to add it to a home gym or workout studio. It's also a good price for the quality and versatility. This is a nice set of exercise equipment, specializing in assisting with pull-ups, but is also useful for a variety of other resistance training exercises as well, some of which are suggested at the back of the included instruction manual. The instructions are well written and include photos of how to assemble the equipment and set the resistance level desired. Print is small, though, and the white print on a pink background is quite a bit harder to decipher than the black print. The straps themselves are 1 1/2" wide webbing in black and the adjustment options are indicated with double bars of zig zag stitching in a contrasting red which is well done, highly visible, and securely in place. Metal D rings and clips feel solid and adequate for their task. Grips and padding are dense foam, well applied and secure, and comfortable to grasp without being either too thick or too thin. There are two wrist support/grip protection bands included in a plastic zip tab pouch. I will have to admit that I do not find those to be particularly comfortable. The foam is thin and a little stiff, but as I have no previous experience with this type of wrist band and hand protection, maybe that is the way it is supposed to be. Whether it is or not, they are not comfortable. The wrist strap itself is also stiff and a bit unyielding. I may try them, but am not expecting to like them much as they seem to be more in the way than helpful. Thoughtfully included is a drawstring bag for transport of equipment. it feels to be a medium weight nylon material measuring about 13" tall x 11 3/4" wide. It has a single drawstring in a 1/2" casing. The drawstring is a synthetic material , woven and resembling a shoestring, and about 1/8" thick, knotted together on the ends and has a sliding button for keeping it closed. The drawstring works just okay as I had to slide the gathers manually until I got the top of the bag closed where I wanted it, and then lock it in place with the button, so not the best design but usable. In summation the exercise equipment straps and bands themselves seem to be of good quality and the instructions are clear. Weak spots are the storage/transport bag and the included wrist supports. It's a nice set at a reasonable price point. Read more
