I bought this for my plus size husband (264) who spent 3 months in hospital after developing CHF and atrial fib. When he came home weighing him every day was a necessity but he felt leary of stepping on our small bathroom scale. This one works perfect! He has enough room to stand with his feet apart so he feels more stable. The nurses who come are very impressed with it too. It is definitely worth the price, it seems well made. I tested this scale against a few others to compare accuracy and this scale passed the tests, it's quite accurate. After weighig myself multiple times I found that I should have my feet spread out a little more than normal on this scale, as being firmly in the center didn't feel as stable. The scale is wider than normal given that it is intended for heavier weigh-ins, so spreading the feet out a little makes sense. Also the display is wall mountable with a fairly long scale-attached cord so you can mount at eye level for most users (You could also hold it in your hand if you wanted too). The display is set to KG out of the box, but a simple toggle button changes it to LBS. The bright green display has large numbers so it's clear to read. I know the scale says is registers weghts a bit above 600lbs, but I have no way of testing that maximum. I did however have a friend who weighs about 500lbs try it out and he said it read his weight correctly. My main concern on a scale designed for high weights, is it's longterm durability, as the scale is pretty light weight and I would have thought a scale like this would have been made of heavier hardened metals, but I could be completely wrong and only time will tell if it holds up.
