I bought two of these chargers, one for my home office and another for the bedroom, where I mounted it to the nightstand using double-sided tape. I paired both with Anker 6-foot USB-C cables, which give me plenty of reach. These replaced two older USB-A only Anker chargers I had been using for over ten years. Everything uses USB-C now, so the older ones were almost obsolete. With eight ports and 300W of total output, I can charge everything I need at once. Whether it’s a laptop, a phone, a tablet, or one of my kid’s devices, this hub handles it without any issues. The best part is the flexibility. I no longer have to carry charging bricks when I move around the house. My work laptop draws a good amount of power, and the power brick can handle it while charging other high draw devices. For a fixed setup, double-sided tape works perfectly. If you’re planning to move it around occasionally, I would recommend using Velcro instead. What drew me to this particular charger was the sleek design and the fourth gen GaN technology. From my research there are many benefits using the gallium nitrate as the semi-conductor instead of the standard silicon. Safety being number one. They can be more powerful yet smaller which is what I was looking for. Something I could travel with. I know the size of this charging block was stated somewhere in the listing, but it was actually smaller than I expected which is a plus for me. Also, I was looking for a charger without that built in flip plug attached to the back. Every single one of those chargers, with the attached AC plug, that I have owned worked fine at first but ended up constantly falling out of the wall receptacle. I love the detachable cord which is plenty long enough to reach and table in the room. Very convenient. I have not used all the ports at once but using 4 or 5 simultaneously, the charger stays just over room temperature. The charging ports are snug but very easy to push in and pull out my cables. I did find a few others that I was considering but based on the comments this is the one I chose. I am happy with my choice and have recommended this charging block to a few of my co-workers. We have a total of 5-6 iPads and iPhones (no other devices) connected to this charging station. Seemed like it worked for a few weeks but now it can charge all at the same time. I noticed this the other night when I kept hearing the iPads and iPhones make the power source being connected and disconnected sound constantly. The displays were lighting up and going off then repeating. So, like some circuitry starting and stopping power to the devices because they were all doing this at the same time. I have a meter to measure my device power, and when I use a separate individual charger, not one of our devices pulled more than 25W, all were under 20w, if not 10W. So I was well under the specifications of this charging block. I would increase rating if it only occurred on one port but this was taking down/up many ports at same time. Not useable. Read more

We bought two. The charger in the photos shows its functionality. It is charging my portable printer, Apple Watch, a LED headlight, and my iPad and everything has enough power to charge as fast as it should be. The quality of the build is solid. I love the portable size and it has its own detachable power cord. It does not heat up. Stays cool to touch form what we have experienced. Read more
