I purchased this adapter to connect an external hard drive to my iMac and to transfer video files from SD cards. It works perfectly with my Mac and was fully compatible right out of the box. It’s true plug-and-play — I connected it, and my Mac recognized it immediately with no setup required. The adapter includes one USB port, a standard SD card reader, and a micro SD card reader. It’s very small and compact, which I appreciate because it doesn’t stick out or clutter the back of my iMac. I’ve been using it with a 2TB external drive and regularly transfer large video files. This SD card is such a game changer, super compact and easy to pack anywhere you go. The SD reader is very worth the investment, they are compatible with almost all mobile devices, I use iPhone and they works amazing. Super easy to transfer stuff from my iPhone and even with my laptop. The Adapter is very durable and the whole port is very sturdy.
