Just got this and hooked it up to my main PC running XP pro. Yeah yeah, I know it's an obsolete operating system and doesn't support USB 3.0 but I hate Windows 10. Plug and pray worked immediately. The cord is long enough but it's really stiff and getting to sit right where I want it was a hassle. I turned off the ports with the on/off switch before plugging anything into it so I could see how these worked. I plugged in my 3 external hard drives, a cell phone charger, and body camera I wear when out and about for security and CYA. When I flipped each switch on, the computer reccognized each device right away except for the cell phone charger. The cell phone charger kept saying a hardware failure and couldn't be reccognized so I had to plug it back into the wall outlet. I like being able to turn off the 2 ports to my 2nd and 3rd backup external hard drives until I need them to keep stuff from accidently being corrupted. Not sure how the speed is since it's only being used at USB 2.0 speeds. Since I just got it, I don't know how durable and long lasting it will be. Read more

Bought in Oct 2023 and April 2024 3 out of the 7 ports are consistently dropping out or not being seen by the desktop. Should have spent a little more and gotten a powered multi-port USB3 adapter! Read more
