One of those things you don't know exist until you need it and go looking. This USB hub is great because it snaps onto the side of your laptop, rather than hanging off of it like a standard hub. Be careful you choose the right version for which side you are plugging into (makes a difference). I have two dongles I have permanently plugged into my laptop so this gives me two extra ports for anything else. Nothing to install, the computer reads the USB peripherals immediately. This USB hub works great for expanding ports and transferring data. It’s slim, lightweight, and does exactly what it’s supposed to. However, it’s pretty difficult to plug in and especially to remove. You really have to apply some pressure, which can be frustrating if you’re switching devices often. Overall, it’s a solid USB hub for the price — just be prepared for a tighter-than-usual fit. This was exactly what I was looking for. My laptop only has 2 USB ports but I need 3 to use my wireless keyboard, wireless mouse and wireless headphones for work. I have a USB extension which worked for a while, but the cord kept getting in the way and it was a little clunky sitting on my desk. This keeps my desktop neat and tidy and free of extra cords. It connects instantly and is quite nice looking. Be sure to select if you need a one for the left or right side of your laptop. It wouldn't make it unuseable, but may get in the way or other ports if you have to turn it upsidedown to use it. Read more
